How many milliliters of an injection containing 250 mg of aminophylline in each 10 ml should be used in filling a medication ord
Serhud [2]

0.6 milliliters

Let the injection contain X mL of solution.

Then,

An injection containing 250 mg of aminophylline per 10 mL  =  15 mg of aminophylline / X mL of an injection

250 mg / 10 mL = 15 mg / X mL

250 X = 150

X = 15/25

X = 0.6 mL

So, when filling a prescription that calls for 15 mg of aminophylline,

0.6 milliliters of an injection with 250 mg of aminophylline in every 10 ml should be used.
