Answer:

Number of moles = 0.75 mol

Mass = 118.5 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of moles of KMnO₄ = ?

Mass in gram = ?

Molarity of KMnO₄ = 0.25 M

Volume of KMnO₄ solution = 3 dm³ (3 L)

Solution:

Molarity is used to describe the concentration of solution. It tells how many moles are dissolve in per litter of solution.

Formula:

Molarity = number of moles / L of solution

0.25 M = number of moles / 3 L

Number of moles   = 0.25 M× 3 L

            M = mol/L

Number of moles = 0.75 mol

Mass in gram:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.75 mol × 158 g/mol

Mass = 118.5 g

The equation shows one mole of ethanol fuel being burned in oxygen. Convert the energy released into its equivalent mass. C2H5OH
lana [24]

Answer:

47.9 g of ethanol

Explanation:

Combustion is a chemical reaction in which a substance reacts with oxygen to produce heat and light. Combustion reactions have been very useful as a source of energy. Ethanol is now burnt for energy purposes as a fuel. Ethanol has even been proposed as a possible alternative to fossil fuels.

Since 1 mole of ethanol when combusted releases 1367 kJ/mol of energy

x moles of ethanol releases 1418 kJ/mol.

x= 1 × 1418 kJ/mol/ 1367 kJ/mol

x= 1.04 moles of ethanol.

Mass of ethanol = number of moles × molar mass

Molar mass of ethanol = 46.07 g/mol

Mass of ethanol = 1.04 moles × 46.07 g/mol

Mass of ethanol= 47.9 g of ethanol

A major textile dye manufacturer developed new yellow dye. The dye has a percent composition of 75.9 5% C, 17.72% N
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Such molecule must have molecular formula of C15N3H15

Explanation:

Mass of carbon in such molecule

0.7595*240_{g/mol} =182.28_{g C/mol}

The atomic mass of carbon is 12.01 g/mol, so in 182.28 g of carbon there is 15.18 mols of carbon.

Mass of Nitrogen in such molecule

0.1772*240_{g/mol} =37.73_{g C/mol}

The atomic mass of nitrogen is 14.01 g/mol, so in 42.53g of nitrogen there is 3.04 mols of nitrogen.

Mass of Hydrogen in such molecule

0.0633*240_{g/mol} =15.19 {g C/mol}

The atomic mass of Hydrogen is 1.00 g/mol, so in 15.19 g of Hydrogen there is 15.19 mols of Hydrogen.

Such molecule must have molecular formula of C15N3H15

Which of the following statements related to S N1 reactions is not true? - The heterolysis of a bond between atoms which do not
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

The charged carbon atom of a carbocation has a complete octet of valence shell electrons

Explanation:

A charged carbon atom of a carbocation has a valence shell that is not filled, that's why it acts as an electrophile (or a Lewis base). This unfilled valence shell is also the reason of the nucleophilic attack that takes place during the second step of a SN1 reaction.

What amount if force need to be applied to a 20 kg bowling ball to give it an acceleration of 5m/s
balandron [24]

Answer:

100N

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of the bowling ball = 20kg

Acceleration  = 5m/s²

Unknown:

Amount of force applied = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, we apply newton's second law of motion.

    Force  = mass x acceleration

Now insert the parameters and solve;

   Force  = 20 x 5  = 100N

Speed is the ratio between distance and

Pls answer ASP!!
natulia [17]

Answer: Explanation: Speed is simply velocity without a specified direction (speed is the magnitude of the velocity vector). Regardless of the two measurements, they both relate distance to time, but are slightly different. Instantaneous speed is the derivative of the total distance covered with respect to time.

Explanation: I hope this helps!
