Answer:

59F

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Temperature in °C  = 15°C

Unknown:

Temperature in Fahrenheit scale  = ?

Solution:

To solve this, we use the conversion equation below;

       F  = (C x 1.8)  + 32

C is the temperature in celcius;

    F = (15 x 1.8) + 32  = 59F

Many scientists are involved in research studying global climate change. Which limitation to climate research could
dedylja [7]

Answer:

Data from a wide range of time periods must be analyzed.

Explanation:

The limitation to climate research that could easily be solved is that data from long periods of time can be analyzed. We can only gauge this based on history. So the earlier we can get super computers with greater capabilities, then the more likely it is that data from long period ranges can be analyzed. This would provide scientist with knowledge of the extent and prevention of global climate issues.

The other problems listed may not easily be solved compared to this.

Suppose that during a test drive of two cars, one car travels 224 miles in the same time that a second car travels 160 miles. I
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Speed of first car= 48 mph

Speed of second car= 32 mph

Explanation:

From the question, the following parameters are given

Distance travelled by the first car (d1) =224 miles

Distance travelled by the second car (d2)= 160 miles (it is obvious the second car is not as fast as the first car) since both cars attain these distances at the same time.

Time for the first car to attain 224 miles (t1)

Time for the second car to attain 160miles (t2). From the question, t1=t2.......(i)

Speed of the first car is 16mph faster than the second car. Then speed of first car

(s1 =s2+16)......(ii)

Where s1 is speed of first car and s2 is speed of second car.

Speed=distance/time travelled

For the first car, s1=d1/t1....(iii)

Substituting (ii) and d1=224 miles into (iii), we have

s2+16=224/t1

Making t1 the subject of the formular

t1=244/(s2+16).....(iv)

For the second car, s2=d2/t2...(v)

Substituting d2=160 miles into (v),

We have

s2=160/t2

Making t2 the subject of the formular

t2=160/s2....(vi)

Since t1=t2, we can equate (iv) and (vi) to become

224/(s2+16)=160/s2

By cross multiplying, you have

224s2=160s2+2560

You will obtain s2=32mph when you solve the equation above.

Since s1=s2+16

s1=32+16=48mph

marishachu [46]

Answer:

Explanation:

Weight is actually a force. A force can change depending on its location. A mass remains constant no matter where it is.

A)

F = m * a

m = 250 kg

a = 9.81 m/s^2

F = 250 * 9.81 = 2452.5 N

B)

The acceleration due to gravity on the moon is roughly 1/6 what it is on earth. You can check its value in your notes.

a = 9.81 + (1/6) = 1.635

m = 250

F = 250 * 1.635

F = 408.75

C)

The mass is the same anywhere in the universe.

250 kg

During the deceleration of an ascending elevator, the normal force on the feet of a passenger is _____ her weight. During the de
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer: Smaller than ; larger than

Explanation:

When the elevator is moving in the upward direction, then the force acting on it is negative in nature because of

N= mg +ma, (g is gravity and a is acceleration)

here ma is negative so the N= mg-ma

Hence, it feels smaller than its original weight.

When the elevator is moving downward , then the force acting will be positive in nature

N= mg+ma,

here ma will be positive so it feels larger the original weight of passenger.
