Answer:

Answer: 0.4 g

Explanation:

1) Balanced chemical equation:

2) 2C2H2 + 5 O2 → 4CO2 + 2 H2O

3) mole ratios:

2 mol C2h2 : 5 mol O2

4) Convert 0.13 g C2H2 into number of moles

n = mass in grams / molar mass

molar mass C2H2 = 2 *12g/mol + 2*1 g/mol = 26 g/mol

n = 0.13 g / 26 g/mol = 0.005 mol

5) Set the proportion with the unknown

5 mol O2             x

----------------- = ---------------

2 mol C2H2      0.005 mol C2H2

x = 0.005 mol C2H2 * 5 mol O2 / 2 mol C2H2 = 0.0125 mol O2

6) Convert 0.0125 mol O2 to grams

mass = number of moles * molar mass

molar mass of O2 = 32 g/mol

mass = 0.0125 mol * 32 g/mol = 0.4 g

Answer: 0.4 g

Combustion reaction

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Chemistry</u>

  • Synthesis Reactions: A + B → AB
  • Decomposition Reactions: AB → A + B
  • Single-Replacement Reactions: A + BC → AB + C
  • Double-Replacement Reactions: AB + CD → AD + BC

Explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

2C₂H₂ + 5O₂ → 2H₂O + 4CO₂

<u>Step 2: Identify</u>

Any organic molecule reacting with oxygen to produce water and carbon dioxide is a combustion reaction.

We also see from the RxN that is is a double replacement reaction.

Nitrogen dioxide decomposes according to the reaction 2 no2(g) ⇌ 2 no(g) + o2(g) where kp = 4.48 × 10−13 at a certain temperatur
marusya05 [52]

Answer:Partial pressure of the oxygen gas at equilibrium:

p_{O_2}=3.8\times 10^{-5} atm

Partial pressure of nitrogen monoxide gas at equilibrium:

p_{NO}=7.6\times 10^{-5} atm

Explanation;

Initial Partial pressure of nitrogen dioxide gas NO_2= p = 0.70 atm

The value of K_p for the reaction =4.48\times 10^{-13}

         2NO_2\rightleftharpoons 2NO+O_2

Initially     p

At eq'm  p-2x          2x   x

K_p=\frac{[2x]^2[x]}{[p-2x]^2}

4.48\times 10^{-13}=\frac{4x^3}{[0.70-2x]^2}

On solving for the x

x=3.8\times 10^{-5} atm

Partial pressure of the oxygen gas at equilibrium:

p_{O_2}=x=3.8\times 10^{-5} atm

Partial pressure of nitrogen monoxide gas at equilibrium:

p_{NO}=2x=2\times 3.8\times 10^{-5} atm=7.6\times 10^{-5} atm

Delvig [45]

if da ceiling in a square that means it has four sides. If each side is 39 feet and there are four sides you would multiply 39 times 4 which equals 156. If one can of paint can cover 169 ft.² and the ceiling is only 156 ft.² then you would only need 1 CAN OF PAINT.

A car, a train, a bicycle, and a skateboard are traveling at the same speed. Which object has the greatest kinetic energy?
Maru [420]

Answer: Train

Since the train is the largest, it has more momentum. Adding the momentum to the speed, gives it the most kinetic energy. After train would come car, then bicycle, then skateboard.

Hope I helped! :)
