Explanation:

Newton stated within his first law of motion that any object of mass at rest (velocity, designated as v, is zero) will tend to stay at rest, and any object in motion (velocity is not zero) will tend to stay in motion at the same speed and direction (acceleration, designated as a, is zero), unless acted upon by a force. Applied to football collisions, the more massive a football player (the more he weighs), the less likely he is to be slowed down, sped up, or diverted by an outside force, such as opponents. The first law is often called the law of inertia because the term inertia means the resistance to motion. For instance, the quarterback who desires to score a touchdown when very near to the goal line will often use the quarterback-sneak. In this scenario, the interior offensive line of players is used as a massive wall to block the defensive line so the quarterback can sneak around or over his men who are very resistant to being moved back.

Answer:

the force of the football player would cause you to fall over and possibly get a concussion because the football players mass is probably more than yours and the velocity of the football player would cause you to fall over or in football terms "get tackled"

The diagram shows two charged objects, X and Y.
masya89 [10]

The missing diagram is in the attachments.

Answer: X: positive Y: positive

Explanation: Electric field is a vector quantity, which means it can be represented by a vector arrow: the arrow points in the direction of electric field and its length represents the magnitude at a given location. There are another representation of the electric field called electric field lines, in which the line points away from a positively charged source and towards a negatively charged source. This occurs because it follows a pattern, where the lines points in the direction that a positive test charge would have if it is accelerating on the line.

Analyzing the diagram, it can be observed that the lines are pointing away from both of the charged objects. Therefore, both X and Y are positively charged.

Big Ben, a large artifact in England, has a mass of 1x10^8 kilograms and the Empire State Building 1x10^9 kilograms. The distanc
TiliK225 [7]

Answer:

The force, exerted by Big Ben on the Empire State Building is 2.66972 × 10⁻⁷ N

Explanation:

The question relates to the force of gravity experienced between two bodies

The given parameters are;

The mass of Big Ben, M₁ = 1 × 10⁸ kg

The mass of the Empire State Building, M₂ = 1 × 10⁹ kg

The distance between the two Big Ben and the Empire State Building, r = 5,000,000 meters

By Newton's Law of gravitation, we have;

F=G \times \dfrac{M_{1} \times M_{2}}{r^{2}}

Where;

F = The force exerted by Big Ben on the Empire State Building and vice versa

G = The universal gravitational constant = 6.67430 × 10⁻¹¹ N·m²/kg²

M₁, M₂, and r are the given parameters

By plugging in the values of the parameters and the constant into the equation for Newton's Law of gravitation, we have;

F=6.67430 \times 10^{-11} \times \dfrac{1 \times 10^8 \times 1 \times 10^9}{(5,000,000)^{2}} = 2.66972 \times 10^{-7}

The force, 'F', exerted by Big Ben on the Empire State Building is F = 2.66972 × 10⁻⁷ N.

Rays of light coming from the sun (a very distant object) are near and parallel to the principal axis of a concave mirror. After
Setler [38]

A concave mirror is an example of curved mirrors. So that the appropriate answer to the given question is option D. The rays will cross at the focal point.

A concave mirror is a type of mirror in which its inner part is the reflecting surface, while its outer part is the back of the mirror. This mirror reflects all parallel rays close to the principal axis to a point of convergence. It can also be referred to as the converging mirror.

In this type of mirror, all rays of light parallel to the principal axis of the mirror after reflection will cross at the focal point.

Therefore, the required answer to the given question is option D. i.e The rays will cross at the focal point.
