Let's make 1 cent into 1 unit. Set h as the number of hours she must work. So the equation we can set up is 1045h-3300=46860.

( I don't really understand the question because it doesn't tell how many hours you need to have a paycheck. I am assuming that there is 1 paycheck. If you know how many paychecks there are, then set x as the number of paychecks and you get 1045h-3300x=46860. Plug in whatever x is.)

Suppose you have $16,000 to invest in three stocks, A, B, and C. Stock A is a low-risk stock that has expected returns of 4%. St
podryga [215]

To solve this problem, let us say that:

money invested in stock A = A

money invested in stock B = B

money invested in stock C = C

The given problem states that:

C = A * (1 / 4) = 0.25 A

B = A * (1 / 2) = 0.50 A

It was stated that we only have $16,000 to invest. Therefore:

A + B + C = 16,000

Substituting values of C and B in terms of A:

A + 0.50 A + 0.25 A = 16,000

1.75 A = 16,000

A = $9,142.86

So C and B is:

C = 0.25 (9142.86)
C = $2285.71

B = 0.50 (9142.86)

B = $4571.43

Assume that your present job pays a monthly gross salary of $1,560. You are offered a new position that pays $8.60 per hour with
motikmotik

Answer:

There are 4 weeks in a month and 40 working hours in a week

Since the $8.60 per hour, the gross monthly salary for your new position = 8.60*40*4 = $1,376

Your gross monthly salary at present job = $1,560

So the additional amount that you need to earn at your new position = 1,560-1,376 = $184

The hourly wage for addtional hours more than 40 hours at the new position = 1 1/2 * 8.60 = 1.5*8.60 = $12.90

So, number of hours that you need to work extra = 184/12.90 = 14.26 hours per month

So, number of hours that you need to work extra per week = 14.26/4 =  3.566 hours or 3.57 hours (Rounded to 2 decimals)

Is this a function or a non function?
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

This is a function

Step-by-step explanation:

If you do the Vertical Line Test you can see that the line passes through only one dot at a time. Therefore it is a function. If the line passed through more than one dot at a time then it wouldn't be a function.

Answer:

3.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Pythagorean theorem:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 + 1^2 = 4^2

a^2 + 1 = 16
