Answered Oct 16

What, it isn’t?!

Sorry, I had to.

As far as I have read and understood, the Sumerians and later the Babylonians both had astronomical calendars that already differentiated planets and stars. Earth was not the center to them, the Sun likely was. That was around 2,200 - 1,600 BC.

After that, Greek philosopher Aristarchus of Samos (310 - 230 BC) was the first (recorded) to have believed the solar system was organized around the Sun, rather than the Earth. His heliocentric model was unpopular during Aristarchus’ lifetime, although it would inspire astronomers centuries later, such as Copernicus and Galileo.

Now, there are numerous archeological findings (cave paintings) and studies, that all suggest an understanding of complex astronomy in prehistoric times dating back as far as 40,000 years. This also explains how early, prehistoric migrants may have navigated the seas.

1. Calculati greutatea unui sac cu 5 kg de cartofi într-o zonă in care acceleratia gravitatională
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

the weight is 49.1 N

Explanation:

The computation of the weight is shown below:

As we know that

= 5kg of potatoes × gravitational acceleration

= 5kg of potatoes × 9.82 m/s

= 49.1 N

Hence, the weight is 49.1 N

We simply applied the above formula in order to determine the weight

In a thunderstorm, electric charge builds up on the water droplets or ice crystals in a cloud. Thus, the charge can be considere
muminat

Answer:

2.1\cdot 10^{21} electrons

Explanation:

The magnitude of the electric field outside an electrically charged sphere is given by the equation

E=\frac{kQ}{r^2}

where

k is the Coulomb's constant

Q is the charge stored on the sphere

r is the distance (from the centre of the sphere) at which the field is calculated

In this problem, the cloud is assumed to be a  charged sphere, so we have:

E_b=3.00\cdot 10^6 N/C is the maximum electric field strength tolerated by the air before breakdown occurs

r=1.00 km = 1000 m is the radius of the sphere

Re-arranging the equation for Q, we find the maximum charge that can be stored on the cloud:

Q=\frac{Er^2}{k}=\frac{(3.00\cdot 10^6)(1000)^2}{9\cdot 10^9}=333.3 C

Assuming that the cloud is negatively charged, then

Q=-333.3 C

And since the charge of one electron is

e=-1.6\cdot 10^{-19}C

The number of excess electrons on the cloud is

N=\frac{Q}{e}=\frac{-333.3}{-1.6\cdot 10^{-19}}=2.1\cdot 10^{21}

Estimate the radiation pressure due to a bulb that emits 25 W of EM radiation at a distance of 9.5 cm from the center of the bul
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Given Information:

Power of bulb = w = 25 W atts

distance = d = 9.5 cm = 0.095 m

Required Information:

Radiation Pressure = ?

Answer:

Radiation Pressure =7.34x10⁻⁷ N/m²

Explanation:

We know that radiation pressure is given by

P = I/c

Where I is the intensity of radiation and is given by

I = w/4πd²

Where w is the power of the bulb in watts and d is the distance from the center of the bulb.

So the radiation pressure becomes

P = w/c4πd²

Where c = 3x10⁸ m/s is the speed of light

P = 25/(3x10⁸*4*π*0.095²)

P = 7.34x10⁻⁷ N/m²

Therefore, the radiation pressure due to a 25 W bulb at a distance of 9.5 cm from the center of the bulb is 7.34x10⁻⁷ N/m²

Determine la inercia rotacional de una varilla de 4 m de largo y 2 Kg de mesa si su eje de rotación esta situado a la mitad de l
Maslowich

Answer:

   I = 2.667 kg m²

Explanation:

The moment of inertia of a body can be calculated by the expression

         I = ∫ L² dm

For high symmetry bodies the expressions of the moment of inertia are tabulated, for a rod with its axis of rotation at its midpoint it is

         I = \frac{1}{12} m L²

let's calculate

         I = \frac{1}{12}  2  4²

         I = 2.667 kg m²
