Answer:

FADH2 is a reducing agent.

FAD is an oxidizing agent.

Explanation:

The full form of FAD is flavin adenine dinucleotide. It is mainly a redox-active coenzyme which is associated with the different proteins and is involved with the enzymatic reactions in the metabolism.

FAD is obtained by donating or accepting electrons.

In the citric acid cycle,

succinate + FAD → fumarate + $FADH_2$

Thus we see that FAD is an oxidizing agent while $FADH_2$ is a reducing agent.

How can I differentiate between Ionic compounds, molecular compounds, and acids given only the formula? I need to be able to fin
VikaD [51]
You can differentiate between ionic, covalent and molecular compounds by the fact that ionic compounds contain elements that include both a metal and a nonmetal. Molecular compounds contain both non metals covalently bonded to each other. While acids most often on their chemical formula start with the element of Hydrogen - H.

For Eg - sulphuric acid
H2SO4
hydrochloric acid - HCl.

how do the properties of sodium chloride compare with the properties of its component elements, sodium
Orlov [11]

Sodium chloride is a nonreactive solid at room temperature, and is commonly known as table salt. The two elements that make up sodium chloride are sodium and chlorine. Sodium is a very reactive metal that tastes bad. Pure sodium is explosive when it comes in contact with water. Hope this helps

A gold nugget has a volume of 20.0 cm3 and its density is 19.3 g/cm3. What is the mass of the gold nugget?
salantis [7]
Density * Volume = Mass

Now we substitute the values in.

19.3 g/cm^3 + 20 cm^3 = 386 g

Mass = 386 g
