Absolute error is actual- estimate=33.4-35=-1.6 that in percent can be found using a rule of three, we say that 33.4 is the 100% and we find the % for -1.6

33.4ml -------- 100%

-1.8ml-----------x

x=(-1.8)(100)/33.4

x=-5.4

the percentage error is -5.4%

I need help!!!<br><br> y=x-7<br> y=6<br><br><br> simplify the answer as much as possible
Alla [95]

Answer:

x=13 and y =6

Step-by-step explanation:

y=x-7

y=6

Substitute y=6 into the first equation

6 = x-7

Add 7 to each side

6+7= x-7+7

13 = x

x=13 and y =6

A new sample of 225 employed adults is chosen. Find the probability that less than 7.1% of the individuals in this sample hold m
arsen [322]

Answer:

The probability that less than 7.1% of the individuals in this sample hold multiple jobs is 0.0043.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let <em>X</em> = number of individuals in the United States who held multiple jobs.

The probability that an individual holds multiple jobs is, <em>p</em> = 0.13.

The sample of employed individuals selected is of size, <em>n</em> = 225.

An individual holding multiple jobs is independent of the others.

The random variable <em>X</em> follows a Binomial distribution with parameters <em>n</em> = 225 and <em>p</em> = 0.13.

But since the sample size is too large Normal approximation to Binomial can be used to define the distribution of proportion <em>p</em>.

Conditions of Normal approximation to Binomial are:

  • np ≥ 10
  • n (1 - p) ≥ 10

Check the conditions as follows:

np=225\times 0.13=29.25>10\\n(1-p)=225\times (1-0.13)=195.75>10

The distribution of the proportion of individuals who hold multiple jobs is,

p\sim N(p, \frac{p(1-p)}{n})

Compute the probability that less than 7.1% of the individuals in this sample hold multiple jobs as follows:

P(p

*Use a <em>z</em>-table.

Thus, the probability that less than 7.1% of the individuals in this sample hold multiple jobs is 0.0043.

Vaughn is laying sod in his backyard. A diagram of his backyard is bel ow
Orlov [11]

Answer: A=944\ ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to use the following formula that is used to find the area of a trapezoid:

A=(\frac{M+m}{2})h

Where "M"and "m" are the bases of the trapezoid and "h" is the height of the trapezoid.

Based on the information given in the exercise, you can identify that:

M=c=36\ ft\\\\m=a=23\ ft\\\\h=b=32\ ft

Knowing these values, you can substitute them into the formula:

A=(\frac{36\ ft+23\ ft}{2})(32\ ft)

Finally, you must evaluate in order to find its area. This is:

A=(\frac{59\ ft}{2})(32\ ft)\\\\A=\frac{1888\ ft^2}{2}\\\\A=944\ ft^2

Write a ratio, in the simplest form and a percent for the shaded area (there's a 5x4 box and 6 cubes are shaded)
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

\%Percent = 30 \%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Shaded = 6\ cubes

Box = 5\ x\ 4

Required

Determine the percentage of the shaded cubes

First, we calculate the number of boxes:

Box = 5\ x\ 4

Express as multiplication

Box = 5\ *\ 4

Box = 20

This implies that there are 20 cubes in the box.

The percentage of the shaded cubes is:

\%Percent = \frac{Shaded}{Box} * 100\%

\%Percent = \frac{6}{20} * 100\%

\%Percent = \frac{6* 100}{20} \%

\%Percent = \frac{600}{20} \%

\%Percent = 30 \%

<em>30% were shaded</em>
