The Ryoanji garden uses asymmetry, spacial composition, minimalism and little color that arranges three small islands in a perfectly kept graveled garden with a prominent cherry blossom; the stained glass window at Chartres Cathedral, however, uses light, complicated symmetrical patterns, figuration, lots of color on the two-dimensional form of the glass.
