denis23 [38]

Answer:

The raw materials.

Explanation:

The starting point of every manufactured object is the raw material. In the value system of the film industry, the starting point is the raw material which includes chemicals used in the manufacture of films and cameras.

Therefore, If we think of the value system, as a river, and each stop along the river is a port where value was added. The starting point, the furthest upstream, in the value system in the film industry is the raw materials.

Describe the Pascal's principles
boyakko [2]

Explanation:

Pascal's principle, also called Pascal's law, in fluid (gas or liquid) mechanics, statement that, in a fluid at rest in a closed container, a pressure change in one part is transmitted without loss to every portion of the fluid and to the walls of the container.

A weight of 30.0 N is suspended from a spring that has a force constant of 220 N/m. The system is undamped and is subjected to a
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

F_0 = 393 N

Explanation:

As we know that amplitude of forced oscillation is given as

A = \frac{F_0}{ m(\omega^2 - \omega_0^2)}

here we know that natural frequency of the oscillation is given as

\omega_0 = \sqrt{\frac{k}{m}}

here mass of the object is given as

m = \frac{W}{g}

\omega_0 = \sqrt{\frac{220}{\frac{30}{9.81}}}

\omega_0 = 8.48 rad/s

angular frequency of applied force is given as

\omega = 2\pi f

\omega = 2\pi(10.5) = 65.97 rad/s

now we have

0.03 = \frac{F_0}{3.06(65.97^2 - 8.48^2)}

F_0 = 393 N

Why is it important to select a coordinate system when studying motion?
kvv77 [185]

Motion is detected when an object changes its position with respect to a reference point. Coordinate system is basically used to represent motion. A coordinate system uses numbers or coordinates which represent position of the reference points on a two-dimensional or three-dimensional space. The trajectory of a point or line can be studied on a coordinate system which describes various aspects of motion like velocity, acceleration, distance, displacement etc. Coordinate system is important because it helps to choose a starting point and the direction (which will be positive).

Problem One: A beam of red light (656 nm) enters from air into the side of a glass and then into water. wavelength, c. and speed
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

Part a)

f_w = f_g = 4.57 \times 10^{14} Hz

Part b)

\lambda_w = 492 nm

\lambda_g = 437.3 nm

Part c)

v_w = 2.25 \times 10^8 m/s

v_g = 2.0 \times 10^8 m/s

Explanation:

Part a)

frequency of light will not change with change in medium but it will depend on the source only

so here frequency of light will remain same in both water and glass and it will be same as that in air

f = \frac{v}{\lambda}

f = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{656 \times 10^{-9}}

f = 4.57 \times 10^{14} Hz

Part b)

As we know that the refractive index of water is given as

\mu_w = 4/3

so the wavelength in the water medium is given as

\lambda_w = \frac{\lambda}{\mu_w}

\lambda_w = \frac{656 nm}{4/3}

\lambda_w = 492 nm

Similarly the refractive index of glass is given as

\mu_w = 3/2

so the wavelength in the glass medium is given as

\lambda_g = \frac{\lambda}{\mu_g}

\lambda_g = \frac{656 nm}{3/2}

\lambda_g = 437.3 nm

Part c)

Speed of the wave in water is given as

v_w = \frac{c}{\mu_w}

v_w = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{4/3}

v_w = 2.25 \times 10^8 m/s

Speed of the wave in glass is given as

v_g = \frac{c}{\mu_g}

v_g = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{3/2}

v_g = 2 \times 10^8 m/s
