Which of the following is the greatest dissolved solid in ocean water? Magnesium Chloride Plankton Sodium Chloride Calium
melisa1 [442]

The right answer is Sodium chloride.

Sodium chloride is a chemical compound whose formula is NaCl. Everyone knows the taste because it is, more simply, table salt.

Let's take a pool 50 meters long and 15 meters wide and fill it with sea water. Then let's go to his analysis. We find:

1400 tons of pure water

50 tons of sodium chloride

2 tons of magnesium

1 ton of sulfur

And then much less frequent elements

Which element will most likely form covalent bonds with fluorine? f carbon g tin h potassium j neon?
hram777 [196]
Covalent bond is when there is relatively less difference in electronegativity of constituent atoms. On the other hand, ionic bond is formed when there is large difference in electronegativity of constituent atoms.

In present case, electronegativity of F is 3.98, electronegativity of C is 2.55, electronegativity of tin is 1.96 and electronegativity of potassium is 0.82.

Here, since the electronegativity difference is minimum in case of C-F, so covalent bond will be preferentially with carbon.

It must also be noted that neon is an inert gas, hence it will not form bond with F.

How many grams are in 1.3 x 1024 atoms of hydrogen?
olga2289 [7]

Answer: 4.32g

Explanation:

MM of H2 = 1 x 2 = 2g/mol

2g of H2 contains 6.02x10^23 atoms.

Therefore Xg of H2 will contain 1.3 x 1024 atoms i.e

Xg of H2 = (2 x 1.3 x 1024) / 6.02x10^23 = 4.32g

The molality of a solution containing 8.1 moles of solute in 4,847 g of solvent is _____. 1.7m 598m 39m 0.17m
Hitman42 [59]
When molality = no.of moles of solute/weight Kg of solvent

and when we have the no. of moles of solute = 8.1 moles
and the weight Kg of the solvent =4847 g /1000 = 4.847 Kg
so by substitution :
Molarity = 8.1m / 4.847Kg = 1.67 M
