I believe the answer is:
y+18 = (-52/3)(x-3) in point slope form
Let me know if you need an explanation. Hope this helps.
You left out the 9 in the whole equation. The 1st step you had right you just forgot to put +9. 2nd step you are combining the like terms and get 11-26x=-34x+40. Step 3: you are trying to isolate the x on one of the sides. You need to switch the 11 over to the 40 and get 29. Move -34x over to -26x and get 8x. Step 4 all you are doing in dividing 8 from both sides and get 5.
A. the first box is 7
the second box is 2
the third box is 100
the fourth box is 6.5
RULE: times 3 + 2
b. the first box is 45/2
the second box is -0.75
the third box is 0
the fourth box is 2.75
RULE: times 5/2
c. the first box is 1 1/2
the second box is 6
the third box is -4
the fourth box is -1.75
RULE: times half add one
For line B to AC: y - 6 = (1/3)(x - 4); y - 6 = (x/3) - (4/3); 3y - 18 = x - 4, so 3y - x = 14
For line A to BC: y - 6 = (-1)(x - 0); y - 6 = -x, so y + x = 6
Since these lines intersect at one point (the orthocenter), we can use simultaneous equations to solve for x and/or y:
(3y - x = 14) + (y + x = 6) => 4y = 20, y = +5; Substitute this into y + x = 6: 5 + x = 6, x = +1
So the orthocenter is at coordinates (1,5), and the slopes of all three orthocenter lines are above.
