If You are given 14 moles of C2H5OH(Ethanol) and 13 moles of O2( Oxygen), how

Chemistry

Explanation:

1 ) first u have to balance the equation but in this case it is already balanced.

2) checking for the limiting reactant:

13 mol O2 × (1mol H2O / 1mol of O2) = 13 mol of H2O

14 mol of ethanol × (1mol H2O/ 1molof ethanol) = 14 mol of H2O

the less amount of moles produced from the O2 so the limiting reactant is oxygen

3) calculating the products moles

13 mol O2 × (1mol H2O / 1mol of O2) = 13 mol

13 mol O2 × (1mol Ch3Cooh / 1mol O2) = 13 mol

note: the ratios obtained from the balanced equation

4) the excess reagent is the ethanol 1 mol will be remain

Which of the following forms of oxygen can undergo disproportionation?
Akimi4 [234]
disproportionation is a type of redox reaction in which an element can undergo both oxidation and reduction.

Let's take a look at the choices:
First we have the oxide ion. Oxide ion has a charge of -2 which is the lowest charge that an oxygen atom can have. Therefore, an oxide ion cannot be further reduced, so this choice is not correct.
Next we have the peroxide ion. The oxygen has a charge of -1 which means it can be further reduced. So, this choice is acceptable
Last but not least, we have the superoxide ion. The oxygen has a charge of -1/2 which means it can be further reduced. So, this choice is also acceptable.

Based on this, we have two accepted choices which are b and c.

If the moon resembled an asteroid, which theory would be most supported?
Law Incorporation [45]
This is called "The capture theory" which states that the Earth's Moon was captured by the gravitational pull of our planet, meaning that it formed elsewhere, and then was pulle dinto place by the Earth, already formed. This would rely upon the ideas that a asteroid pased close enough to the Earth's orbit to be "captured".

How do scientists test for a substance’s flammability in a substance
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

Determining flammability can be as simple as holding a sample of the substance over a match. If it burns, it is flammable, leading to additional experiments to find more properties. Measuring the heat given off by the substance when it burns gives the heat of combustion.

Drag electrons back and forth until the molecule of oxygen (O2) is stable. Click Check to confirm your molecule is stable. How m
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

2 pairs (4 electrons)

Explanation:

In a molecule of oxygen there are 2 oxygen atoms. There are 6 electrons in the outer shells of oxygen atoms. When 2 oxygen atoms form a covalent bond they share their electrons. In a diagram this would be represented by the overlap of the two circles representing the outer shells of both oxygen atoms. If each oxygen atom 'puts forward' 2 electrons into the centre, then 4 will be shared overall for each atom, making both atoms have full outer shells of 8 electrons each. 4 electrons make 2 pairs, hence the answer.
