Chemistry

Answer:

hope it is use full to you

Explanation:

The gas constant is denoted by the symbol R or R. It is equivalent to the Boltzmann constant, but expressed in units of energy per temperature increment per mole, i.e. the pressure–volume product, rather than energy per temperature increment per particle.

it is a physical constant that is featured in many fundamental equations in the physical sciences, such as the ideal gas law, the Arrhenius equation, and the Nernst equation.  As a consequence, the value of the gas constant is also exactly defined.

A zinc salt, E when
Naily [24]

Answer:

The salt is Zn(NO3)2

When the residue is allowed to cool, its colour changes from yellow to white

The equation of the reaction is; 2Zn(NO3)2(s) --->2ZnO(s) + 4NO2(g) + O2(g)

Explanation:

Decomposition of Zn(NO3)2 is one of the routes by which ZnO is obtained. ZnO is a white insoluble powder which has a yellow colour when hot and a white colour when cold. It is an amphoteric substance used as a white pigment in paints and as a filler for rubber.

In a very pure form, it is used in cosmetic powders and creams as well as in medicinal ointments and lotions.

Also recall that NO2 is a brown gas and oxygen gas rekindles a glowing splint.

An ionic compound is a chemical compound dissociated into positive and negative ions, but globally neutral (it is a bond that us
Firdavs [7]

True

Explanation:

Ionic compounds are chemical compounds that dissociates into positive and negative ions and are globally neutral due to the charge balance. They are made up of metals and non-metals.

  • Ionic bonds are formed between two kinds of atoms having a large electronegativity difference.
  • It is usually between metals and non-metals.
  • The formation of this bond type involves the transfer of electrons from the less electronegative atom such that the two kinds of atoms now have completely filled outer shell like the noble gases.
  • This transfer makes the metal positively charged while the non-metal becomes negatively charged.
  • The atoms forms ions that are oppositely charged.
  • The charges are balanced out leaving a net neutral compound.
  • The electrostatic force of attraction between these ions is the ionic or electrovalent bond.

A vessel with a volume of 32. 5 l contains 2. 80 g of n2 gas, 0. 403 g of h2 gas, and 79. 9 g of ar gas. at 25°c, what is the to
d1i1m1o1n [39]

The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is found out by using the partial pressures of individual gases and adding them up. The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is 1.72 atm.

The Partial pressure of the gases is the individual pressure of the gases present in a vessel containing a mixture of gases. The total pressure can be found out by adding partial pressure of all gases.

Given:

Volume of vessel, V= 32.5L

Mass of Nitrogen gas = 2.8g

Mass of Hydrogen gas = 0.403g

Mass of Argon gas = 79.9g

We know that:

             Molar Mass of Nitrogen gas = 28g

             Molar Mass of Hydrogen gas = 2g

             Molar Mass of Argon gas = 40g

∴ Moles of gas = Given mass / Molar mass

∴ Using the Ideal Gas Equation:

PV = nRT

where, P is the Pressure of gas

V is the volume of gas

n is the moles of gas

R is the Universal Gas constant

T is the temperature

Applying the above equation of all three gases indivudually,

∴ For Nitrogen,

P₁V = n₁RT

⇒ P₁ × 32.5 = 2.8/28 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₁ = 0.07atm

∴ For Hydrogen,

P₂V = n₂RT

⇒ P₂ × 32.5 = 0.4/2 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₂ = 0.15 atm

∴ For Argon,

P₃V = n₃RT

⇒ P₃ × 32.5 = 79.9/40 × 0.082 × 298

⇒ P₃ = 1.5 atm

∴ Total pressure of vessel, P = P₁ + P₂ + P₃

                                         P = 1.72 atm

The total pressure of the gases in the vessel is 1.72 atm.
