Answer:

Yes, yield.

Explanation:

N2(g) + 3 H2(g) → 2 NH3 (g) balanced equation

First, find limiting reactant:

Moles H2 = 1.83 g x 1 mole/2 g = 0.915 moles H2

Moles N2 = 9.84 g N2 x 1 mole/28 g = 0.351 moles N2

The mole ratio of H2: N2 is 3:1, so H2 is limiting (0.915 is less than 3 x 0.351)

Theoretical yield of NH3 = 0.915 mol H2 x 2 mol NH3/3 mol H2 = 0.61 moles NH3

The red spheres represent oxygen atoms, and the blue spheres represent hydrogen atoms. Is this substance a compound?
Nimfa-mama [501]
I believe a compound, be definition, needs to be composed of different types of atoms, so it sounds like yeah, assuming the oxygen and hydrogen atoms are actually bonded together and not just floating randomly.

Which of the following pieces of laboratory equipment is not directly used to make measurements?
pychu [463]
Test are not directly used to make measurements, I mean you could use them to put 4 mL of a substance in, but not to measure out 4 mL, like with graduated cylinders. Rulers can be used to measure the length of something, like the number of inches. And a thermometer will help you measure the temperature of something.

What are the advantages of having proof before you make any conclusion about your own understanding for scientific method?
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

Helps in accepting and defending the conclusion.

Explanation:

The main advantages of having proof before you make any conclusion is that it gives a reason for accepting the answer given by you because you have the proof to prove your answer so no one questions on your answer. The proof give you strength to defend your conclusion and make your conclusion right in front of the world. Without proof no one can accept your answer because every answer of a scientific question wants a proof for its validation.
