Mass of Iron produced : 1.5 kg

Further explanation

Reaction

a) CaCO3→CaO + CO2

b) CO2 + C → 2CO

c) Fe2O3 + 3CO → 2Fe + 3CO2

From the reaction above : 1 mol CaCO₃ = 2 mol Fe

mol CaCO₃ :

1340 : 100 g/mol = 13.4

mol Fe :

2 x 13.4 = 26.8

mass Fe :

26.8 x 56 g/mol=1500.8 g⇒1.5 kg
