(1) <span>Electric current is defined as the rate of </span>charge<span> flow past a given point in an electric circuit. It is measured in Coulombs/second, also called Amperes. In </span>DC electric circuits<span>, it can be assumed that the </span>resistance<span> to current flow is a constant so that the current in the circuit is related to </span>voltage<span> and resistance by </span>Ohm's law, which is:
<span>
V = I*R
Where V = Voltage
I = Current
R = Resistance

(2) The answer is attached in image form down below(please find attachment)
(3) </span>The answer is attached in image form down below(please find attachment)

(4) <span>Renewable energy is the energy which is generated from the natural sources i.e. sun, tides, wind etc. Examples are: Solar Energy, Wind energy( windmill) etc. for electricity generation.
Advantages of Renewable Energy:
1) It is available in abundant quantity.
2) It is free to use.
3) It has </span><span>low carbon emissions, therefore it is considered as green and environment friendly.
Disadvantages of Renewable Energy:
1) It is not easy to setup plants and machinery for renewable energy.
2) Initial costs for setting up those plants and machinery is quite high.
3) The energy from the natural sources is not available 24/7. In Solar energy case, energy </span><span>can be used during the day time and not during night or rainy season etc.
</span>
Non-Renewable energy is energy which is taken from the sources that are available on the earth in limited quantity. Sources may be <span>fossil fuels, natural gas, oil and coal etc.
</span><span>Advantages of Non-Renewable Energy Sources:
1) They are easy to use.
2) They are cheap.

Disadvantages:
</span>1) They will expire some day (as they are limited).
2) The speed at which such resources are being used can have serious environmental changes.
3) They release toxic gases in the air when burnt which are the major cause for global warming.
<span>4) Since these sources are going to expire soon, prices of these sources are proliferating day by day.
</span><span>
Now you should judge all by yourself which is the better energy source.

The amount of energy it takes to lift a box might be a function of which of the following?
Nesterboy [21]

The amount of energy it takes to lift a box might be a function of the weight of the objects inside the box. Work is proportional to force and distance. The force of the box is the weight itself of the box. Hence the answer to this problem is B.

an Olympic runner leaps over a hurdle.if the runner initial vertical speed is 2.2m/s how much will the runners center of mass be
Snowcat [4.5K]
Supposing the runner is condensed to a point and moves upward at 2.2 m/s.
It takes a time = 2.2/g = 2.2/9.8 = 0.22 seconds to increase to max height.
Now looking at this condition in opposite - that is the runner is at max height and drops back to earth in 0.22 s (symmetry of this kind of motion).
From what height does any object take 0.22 s to fall to earth (supposing there is no air friction)?
d = 1/2gt²= (0.5)(9.8)(0.22)²= 0.24 m

The only force acting on a 1.9 kg canister that is moving in an xy plane has a magnitude of 3.9 N. The canister initially has a
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

The work done on the canister is 15.34 J.

Explanation:

Given;

mass of canister, m = 1.9 kg

magnitude of force acting on x-y plane, F = 3.9 N

initial velocity of canister in positive x direction, v_i = 3.9 m/s

final velocity of the canister in positive y direction, v_j = 5.6 \ m/s

The change in the kinetic energy of the canister is equal to net work done on the canister by 3.9 N.

ΔK.E = W_{net}

ΔK.E = K.E_f -K.E_i

The initial kinetic energy of the canister;

K.E_i = \frac{1}{2} mv_i^2\\\\K.E_i = \frac{1}{2} m(\sqrt{v_i^2 +v_j^2 + v_z^2}\  )^2\\\\K.E_i = \frac{1}{2} *1.9(\sqrt{3.9^2 +0^2 + 0^2}\  )^2 = 14.45 \ J

The final kinetic energy of the canister;

K.E_f =\frac{1}{2} mv_j^2 \\\\K.E_f = \frac{1}{2} m(\sqrt{v_i^2 +v_j^2 + v_z^2}\  )^2\\\\K.E_f = \frac{1}{2} *1.9(\sqrt{0^2 +5.6^2 + 0^2}\  )^2 = 29.79 \ J

ΔK.E = 29.79 J - 14.45 J

ΔK.E = W_{net} = 15.34 J

Therefore, the work done on the canister is 15.34 J.

What does an object in equilibrium has a net force of .
Vlad1618 [11]
From our studies of the work of Professor Newton,
we have learned that

                                      F  =  M  a .

That is, the product of an object's mass and its acceleration
is equal to the net force acting on it.

An object in equilibrium is an object that has no acceleration.
In other words, it may be moving in a straight line at a speed
that does not change, or it may be just lying there before us.

In either case, since the object has no acceleration, we glance
at Newton's formula, and we instantly realize that the net force
on the object must be ZERO.

The object behaves just as if there were NO forces acting on it at all.
