a kid on a playground swing makes 6 complete to-and-from swings each 30 seconds (a) the frequency of the swinging is? (b) the pe
Mariana [72]

The frequency is how many per second:

       (6 swings)/(30 sec) = (6/30) swing/sec = 0.2 per sec = 0.2 Hz .

The period is how long each one takes, or seconds per swing.
It's exactly the flip of frequency.
So we could just take the frequency, flip it, and find   1 / 0.2 ,
but let's do it the long way:

      (30 sec) / (6 swings) = (30/6) sec/swing =  5 seconds  .

An object is moving east, and its velocity changes from 65 m/s to 25 m/s in 10 seconds Which describes the acceleration?
Rasek [7]

Answer:

4 m/s in negative acceleration

Explanation:

Acceleration = V- U/t

Where V is the final velocity

U is the initial velocity and t is the time given.

U = 65 m/s

V= 25 m/s

T= 10 seconds

Acceleration= (25m/s - 65m/s)÷10secs

= - 40/10

= -4m/s^2

Hence, it has a negative acceleration.

A european car manufacturer reports that the fuel efficiency of the new microcar is 28.5 km/l highway and 22.0 km/l city. what a
Studentka2010 [4]

We know that:

1 mile = 1.61 km

1 gal = 3.8 L

Therefore converting the fuel efficiency rates:

highway = (28.5 km/L) * (1 mile / 1.61 km) * (3.8 L / 1 gal) = 67.27 mile / gal

<span>city = (22.0 km/L) * (1 mile / 1.61 km) * (3.8 L / 1 gal) = 51.93 mile / gal</span>

Please help me with this question. BRAINLIEST if answered.
IceJOKER [234]

... The top branch of the 3-branched parallel block ... the 9 and 6 in series ...
is equivalent to a single resistor of 15 ohms.

... The 3-branched parallel block boils down to (30, 10, and 15) in parallel.
That's (1/30 + 1/10 + 1/15)⁻¹  =   5 ohms.

... The 5-ohm-equivalent block and the 20-ohm resistor form a
voltage divider across the battery.
The voltage across the 5-ohm-equivalent block is (5/25 x 30v) = 6v .

... The top branch of the block is equivalent to a (9 + 6) = 15-ohmer.
With 6v across its ends, the current through that branch is (6/15) = 0.4A .

... With 0.4A flowing through it, the 9-ohm resistor is dissipating

            I²R = (0.4A)² (9 ohms)  =  (0.16 A²) (9 ohms)  =  1.44 W  (choice-3)

I need help in this pls i really need a answer
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

In terms of distance, average speed is 20 km/h

In terms of displacement, average speed is 0 km/h.

Explanation:

Total distance:

= (40.0 - 10.0) + (20.0 - 10.0) + (40.0 - 20.0) \\  = 30.0 + 10.0 + 20.0 \\  = 60.0 \: km

Total time is 3.0 hours

but:

average \: speed =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}  \\

In terms of distance.

substitute:

average \: speed =  \frac{60.0}{3.0}  \\  \\  = 20 \:  {kmh}^{ - 1}

displacement = ( - 30.0) + 10 .0+ 20.0 \\  = 0

In terms of displacement:

speed =  \frac{0}{3}  \\  \\  = 0 \:  {kmh}^{ - 1}
