Answer:

161.9gZn

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, according the given balanced chemical reaction:

Zn + 2HCl\rightarrow  H_2 + ZnCl_2

It is possible to evidence the 1:1 mole ratio of hydrogen (molar mass = 2.02 g/mol) to zinc (atomic mass = 65.41 g/mol) which is used to calculate the grams of the latter needed for the production of 5 grams of the former via stoichiometry:

5gH_2*\frac{1molH_2}{2.02gH_2}*\frac{1molZn}{1molH_2} *\frac{65.41gZn}{1molZn}\\\\=161.9gZn

Best regards!

Describe what subatomic particle is involved in light emission.
KiRa [710]

Answer:

Option C= light is emitted as electron falls from the excited state to the ground state releasing a photon.

Explanation:

Electrons are responsible for the production of colored light.

Electron:

The electron is subatomic particle that revolve around outside the nucleus and has negligible mass. It has a negative charge.

Symbol= e-

Mass= 9.10938356×10⁻³¹ Kg

It was discovered by j. j. Thomson in 1897 during the study of cathode ray properties.

How electrons produce the colored light:

Excitation:

When the energy is provided to the atom the electrons by absorbing the energy jump to the higher energy levels. This process is called excitation. The amount of energy absorbed by the electron is exactly equal to the energy difference of orbits.

De-excitation:

When the excited electron fall back to the lower energy levels the energy is released in the form of radiations. this energy is exactly equal to the energy difference between the orbits. The characteristics bright colors are due to the these emitted radiations. These emitted radiations can be seen if they are fall in the visible region of spectrum.

According to the law of conservation of mass in a chemical reaction the total starting mass of all the reactants equals the tota
Ber [7]
I believe the correct answer true. According to the law of conservation of mass, in a chemical reaction the total starting mass of all the reactants equals the total final mass of all the products. This law states that mass cannot be created or be destroyed. So, the total mass that goes in a process should be equal to the mass that goes out the process.  This is true for chemical reactions and physical processes. It is Antoine Lavoisier who described this and is a basic principle used in physics and in chemistry. Mass, unlike energy, cannot be transformed to any form so however the transformation happens the mass should be constant.
