Answer:

When the drumstick hits the drum, it exerts a force on the drum. Newton’s third law states that if a force from object A is exerted onto object B, then an equal and opposite force from object B is exerted onto object A. By Newton‘s third law, the drum also exerts a force on the drumstick.
