The details of the galvanic cells are missing so i have attached it.

Answer:

The voltage will increase in cell Y and decrease in cell Z.

Explanation:

Looking at the reaction, in half cell 3, we see that reduction takes place in galvanic cell Y while oxidation takes place in galvanic cell Z.

In galvanic cell Y, aluminum gains electrons which is reduction while in galvanic cell Z, Copper loses electrons which is oxidation.

Now, electricity involves movement of electrons and where there is a loss of electrons, it means a decrease in electricity and when there is a gain in electrons, it means there is an increase in electricity.

Now, in electricity, Voltage is directly proportional to electric power.

Thus, the higher the voltage, the higher the electric power.

Thus, in galvanic cell Y that undergoes gain in electrons, there will be an increase in voltage while in galvanic cell Z that undergoes loss of electrons, there will be a decrease in voltage.

Heat is transferred directly from a heat reservoir at 200 C to another heat reservoir at 5C. If the amount of heat transferred i
Daniel [21]

Answer:

ΔS=0.148  KJ/K

Explanation:

Given that

Q = 100 KJ

T₁=200°C

T₁=200+273 = 437 K

T₂=5°C

T₂=5 + 273 = 278 K

Reservoir 1 is rejecting heat that is why it taken as negative while the reservoir 2 is gaining the heat that is why it is taken as positive.

So the total change in entropy given as

ΔS=  - Q/T₁ + Q/T₂

ΔS=  - 100/473 + 100/278  KJ/K

ΔS=0.148  KJ/K

What are the three components of every titration?
just olya [345]

Titration is a common method of determining the amount or concentration of an unknown substance. The method is easy to use if the quantitative relationship between two reacting solutions is known. The method is particularly well-suited to acid-base and oxidation-reduction reactions. Titrations are routinely used in industry to analyze products to be sold. Many manufacturers are under strict standards of quality control because their products are sold for public consumption. In this experiment, we will analyze a number of commercial products and, in some cases, test the validity of the information given on their labels and/or the claims made in television commercials. The products to be tested include antacid tablets, vinegar, fruit juice, and household ammonia.

Just want to help you understand :)) If you need any more help comment on this and I will be glad to help :D

Answer:

B) high temperatures increase the activation energy of a reaction.

Explanation:

Ammonia is formed when the nitrogen gas is combined with hydrogen gas in a very high temperature. The high temperature increases the activation energy and nitrogen atom make chemical bonds with hydrogen atom results in the production of ammonia. At room temperature, they cannot react with each other.
