Answer:

The properties of carbon forms the basis for all life.

Explanation:

The atoms of carbon are found in the molecules of all living species. Carbon is one of the essential components of the compounds of various organic complex molecules and exhibits a unique tendency to produce polymers. Due to its tetravalent characteristics, that is, exhibiting the tendency to form four covalent chemical bonds, the carbon forms bonds with various other elements like hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen that allows them to function as a common element of all the life known.

You are making a 1L solution that you want to be buffered with ammonia and ammonium. However ammonia is a gas that is difficult
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

54 grams ammonium chloride and 40 grams sodium hydroxide

Explanation:

A buffer is a solution that contains either a weak acid and its salt or a weak base and its salt, the solution is resistant to changes in pH. This means that, a buffer is an aqueous solution of either a weak acid and its conjugate base or a weak base and its conjugate acid.

A Buffer is used to maintain a stable pH in a solution, buffers can neutralize small quantities of additional acid of base. For any buffer solution, there is always a working pH range and a set amount of acid or base that can be neutralized before the pH will change. The amount of acid or base that can be added to a buffer before changing its pH is called its buffer capacity.

A good buffer mixture is supposed to have about equal concentrations of its both components. It is a rule of thumb therefore, that a buffer solution has generally lost its usefulness when one component of the buffer pair is less than about 10% of the other component.

The implication of this is that the ammonium chloride and sodium hydroxide should be of approximately the same concentration. If the masses are dissolved as shown in the answer, then we will have 1molL-1 of each component of the buffer in accordance with the rule of thumb stated above.

Which is capable of housing while they conduct research
jeka94

Answer:

A space station

Explanation:

A space station provides an avenue for scientist to orbit the space and carryout scientific findings. Most space stations are usually controlled under agreement between different countries. The international space station is one such example.

A rover is usually a robotic device that has been pre-programmed and equipped with state of the art devices to carryout explorations on their own.

Most space observations are usually powerful telescopes on the earth surface that monitors events in space.

A satellite is a body that orbits another.

Imagine that A and B are cations and X, Y, and Z are anions, and that the following reactions occur:
Darina [25.2K]

Answer: AZ is the insoluble choice.

Explanation:

Z is an anion of a weak electronegative element. Hence, it bounds lightly with the highly electropositive cation A to form AZ.

AZ is not as ionic as AX, AY, BX, BY and BZ, so it is insoluble in water and yields precipitate on reaction with the salt of a weaker metal.
