The amount of daylight is constantly getting shorter from June 21-December 20. It is constantly getting longer from December 21 to June 20. The amount of daylight varies from place to place, but the summer and winter solstices occur at the same time worldwide (though in the southern hemisphere they are opposite).

PLS HELP THIS IS WORTH A LOT OF POINTS ON MY TEST. WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

Explanation:

By conservation of energy, speed of the ball going up = speed of ball coming down with the ball stops at the top.

Because the gravity acceleration is constant, by symmetry, half of total time, 6/2 = 3s, is for going up and the last 3s for coming down.

Consider the last 3s when the ball drops from top to bottom, the initial velocity = 0 and acceleration = 10m/s^2

distance traveled = initial velocity * time + 1/2 * acceleration * time^2

= 0*3 + 1/2*10*3^2

= 5*9

= 45m

So maximum height of the ball is 45m.

How to solve for resistors
valentinak56 [21]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  A1 = 3A, A2 = 1.5A

  Effective resistance = 2Ω

Explanation:

When the switch is closed, the voltage across each resistor is 6V, so the current through it (A2) is ...

  A2 = 6V/(4Ω) = 1.5A

There are two parallel paths, each with that current, so the current from the battery is ...

  A1 = A2 +A2 = 1.5A +1.5A = 3.0A

Then the effective resistance is ...

  Reff = 6V/(3.0A) = 2.0Ω

The solution to the circuit is ...

  A1 = 3A, A2 = 1.5A

  Effective resistance = 2Ω

1. Jen is stepping out of a boat on to a dock. She has one foot on the dock and one foot in
Gemiola [76]

you tend to push off with the foot still on the boat.

Newtons 3rd law of motion hold that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

So, the amount of force you use on your back foot to push yourself onto the dock, has an equal end opposite amount of force going the other way from your sole of your foot, which pushes the boat the other way.

The same principle applies when you fire a cannon - in the pirate films, you see the body of the cannon forced back as it is fired.

Take it one step further, Henry VIII flagship, “Mary Rose fired all its cannons together one day in a broad side, the opposite force rolled the ship over and sank it.
