Chemistry

The pH will remain neutral at 7. Halides and alkaline metals dissociate and do not affect the H+ as the cation does not alter the H+ and the anion does not attract the H+ from water. This is why NaCl is a neutral salt.

For the reaction 2A(g) â B(g), the equilibrium constant is Kp = 0.76. A reaction mixture initially contains 4.0 atm of gas (PA =
timofeeve [1]

Answer: (a) The reaction mixture will proceed toward products.

Explanation:

Equilibrium constant is defined as the ratio of pressure of products to the pressure of reactants each raised to the power their stoichiometric ratios. It is expressed as K_p

K is the constant of a certain reaction when it is in equilibrium, while Q is the quotient of activities of products and reactants at any stage other than equilibrium of a reaction.

For the given chemical reaction:

2A(g)\rightleftharpoons B(g)

The expression for Q_p is written as:

Q_p=\frac{p_B}{(p_A)^2}

Q_p=\frac{(2.0)}{(2.0)^2}

Q_p=0.5

K_p=0.76

Thus as K_p>Q_p , the reaction will shift towards the right i.e. towards the product side.

Using the fact that at 0.10 M, the absorbance was 0.357; and at 0.20 M, the absorbance was 0.714, the absorptivity (slope) is
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

The answer is "3.57 and 0.07".

Explanation:

Using the slop formula:

=\frac{n_2-n_1}{n_2-n_1}\\\\ =\frac{0.714-0.357}{0.20-0.10} \\\\ = ABSORPTIVITY, \ \ a=3.57 \\\\A= a\times b \times c

Given:

A=0.250

length path b=1

from calibration it is found that

a=3.57\\\\consentation \ c=\frac{A}{a\times b} \\\\C=\frac{0.250}{3.57\times 1}

   =0.07 \ M
