Answer:

The correct answer is HOF gas.

Explanation:

Based on the given information, the helium atoms effuses three times faster in comparison to the gas X.

The rate of effusion is determined by,

r is inversely proportional to 1/√M, here M is the molecular mass of the gas.

and r is inversely proportional to 1/t, here t is the time taken for effusion.

Thus, t is directly proportional to √M

The molecular mass of He is 4.

tHe = tX/3 (Here tx is the time taken for gas X)

The molecular mass of X is not known.

tX/tHe =√Mx/MHe

3 = √Mx/4

By squaring both the sides we get,

9 = Mx/4

Mx = 36

36 is the molecular mass of gas HOF, that is, (1+16+19 = 36). Hence, the gas X is 36.

Explain how nuclear and chemical reactions differ in terms of how they are balanced. (PLEASE ANSWER ASAP THIS NEEDS TO BE TURNED
Tcecarenko [31]

Explanation:

(1) Nuclear reactions involve a change in an atom's nucleus, usually producing a different element. Chemical reactions, on the other hand, involve only a rearrangement of electrons and do not involve changes in the nuclei. ... (3) Rates of chemical reactions are influenced by temperature and catalysts.

The graph shows the reaction pathway for the reaction Q + R N + M. Interpret the graph by describing what each of the letters (A
Vladimir [108]

Answer: The reaction is exothermic reaction as the energy of products is less than the energy of reactants.

Explanation: Exothermic reactions are defined as the reactions in which energy of the product is less than the energy of the reactants. The total energy is released in the form of heat and \Delta H for the reaction comes out to be negative.

Labeling of the parts in the diagram:

A represents the activation energy which is the energy required by reactants to cross the energy barrier to get converted to products.

E represents the potential energy of the reactants.

B represents the activated complex.

D represents the potential energy of the products.

C represents the total enthalpy change of the reaction, which comes out to be negative for exothermic reactions.

\Delta H=E_P-E_R

Classify each of the following reactions as either exothermic or endothermic: 2H,O(l) + heat → 2H₂(g) + O₂(g)
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

endothermic

Explanation:

It is endothermic since it absorbs heat.  If the reaction RELEASED heat (exothermic) the "+ heat" would be on the right side of the equation.

Explanation:

The invariant mass of an electron is approximately9. 109×10−31 kilograms, or5. 489×10−4 atomic mass units. On the basis of Einstein's principle of mass–energy equivalence, this mass corresponds to a rest energy of 0.511 MeV.
