Answer: Yes, magnesium will replace hydrogen because magnesium is higher on the activity series list.

Explanation:

A single replacement reaction is one in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its salt solution.

A general single displacement reaction can be represented as :

X+YZ\rightarrow XZ+Y

Mg+2HCl\rightarrow MgCl_2+H_2

When magnesium is added to hydrochloric acid, magnesium being more reactive than hydrogen displaces hydrogen atom its salt solution and lead to formation of magnesium chloride and hydrogen gas.

Kay [80]

fibrous roots; taproots

Explanation:

A taproot root consists of one large main root with smaller roots that branches off into the soil, while the fibrous roots consists of several main roots that branches off to form one mass of roots.

  • The root system in plants helps them to absorb water and other nutrients from the soil.
  • A taproot is much more like extension of stem that penetrates into the ground.
  • It tapers at the end with many other smaller roots branching and networking from it.
  • The fibrous root is a series of roots directly from the stem that independent of one another.
  • Roots are used by plants for anchorage into the soil.

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

have the same number of atoms of each element in the reactants and in the products

Explanation:

The basic principle in balancing a chemical equation would simply be to have the same number of atoms of each element in the reactants and in the products.

A balanced chemical equation is one that has the same number of atoms of each element on the reactant and the product's side of the equation. For example, consider the equation below:

                     H_2 + O_2 --> H_2O

On the reactant's side, there are 2 atoms of H and O while there are 2 atoms of H and 1 atom of O on the product's side. This is an imbalanced equation. In order for it to be balanced, the number of atoms of H and O on the reactant side must be equal to the number of H and O on the product side as below.

                        2H_2 + O_2 --> 2H_2O
