Answer:

<u>1 and 2/3</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

If

length = 1/3     and width= 1/2

then the equation will look like this,

2(1/3+1/2)

1/3+1/2= 5/6

2(5/6)=<u> 1 and 2/3</u>

Which of the statements using operations on rational or irrational numbers always results in a rational number?
-BARSIC- [3]
<h3>Hm a irrational number is a number like this:</h3>

1.999999\inf

So adding a rational number, like 2, it would be irrational still:

2+1.999999\inf=3.999999\inf

That being said, answer C is wrong

Now, what is 2/2? Or 4/1? Whole numbers are one of the 3 types of rational numbers.

2\ /\ 2=1\\\\4\ / 1=\ 4

Thus the answer appears to be D

Now lets use the process of elimination to double check the answer:

The wording of your question is what will help us out here:

Which of the statements using operations on rational or irrational numbers <u>always results </u>in a <u>rational number?</u>

Because of that, any of the choices that involve a irrational number can result with another irrational number like so:

a)\ 1.999\inf+ 1.999\inf=3.888\inf\\\\b)\ 2.999\inf / 1.999\inf= 1.50025\inf

And there you go, the only answer that hasn't been proven wrong is answer D.

Anyone do K12 International Private Academy? I was wondering if u could share your honest thoughts and opinions on it :)
kiruha [24]
I do K12 7th grade and it has really brought my grades up! One thing I have noticed though is the work is more advanced then the work at a normal school. At first I had alot of trouble getting used to the system but after awhile it's very simple. I really like K12 because it let's you learn at your own pace. if you have any questions about K12 I would be happy to answer.

Find the area of the green sector if m∠ A = π 6 and the circle has a radius of 10 inches.
Tpy6a [65]
The area of the sector, when the measure of the central angle is in radians, can be solved using this equation:
A = (n/2) r²

From the given values,
A = (π/6/2) (10²)
A = 25π/6 = 26.18 in²

Therefore, the area of the sector with the central angle measuring π/6 with the radius of the circle 10 inches is 26.18 in²

A grocery store has small bags of apples for 5$ and large bags of apples for 8$. If you buy 6 bags of apples and spend 45$, how
pogonyaev

Answer:

He bought 1 small bag and 6 large bags.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can set up 2 equations with the given information.

5x+8y=45

x+y=6

We can rearrange the second equation to solve for x.

x=6-y

Now we substitute x for 6-y in the first equation

5(6-y)+8y=45

30-5y+8y=45

30+3y=45

y+10=15

y=5

x=1

He bought 1 small bag and 6 large bags.
