It's formed by the hydrogen ion of the acid and the hydroxide of the base. 

H_{2} SO_{4} + 2KOH --\ \textgreater \  K_{2} SO_{4} + 2H_{2}O
Sulfuric Acid + potassium superoxide --> Potassium Sulfate + Heavy Water
