Answer:

The velocity after 10 seconds will be 10m/s.22-Aug-2020When an object is moving with a constant velocity, the line on the graph is horizontal. When the horizontal line is at zero velocity, the object is at rest. When an object is undergoing constant acceleration , the line on the graph is straight but sloped. ... The units of acceleration are m/s/s or m/s 2.

a 100 g cart initially moving at 0.5 m/s collides elastically from a stationary 180 g cart. a) using the equation in the theory,
cupoosta [38]

A 100 g cart is moving at 0.5 m/s that collides elastically from a stationary 180 g cart. Final velocity is calculated to be 0.25m/s.

Collision in which there is no net loss in kinetic energy in the system as a result of the collision is known as elastic collision . Momentum and kinetic energy both are conserved quantities in elastic collisions.

Collision in which part of the kinetic energy is changed to some other form of energy is inelastic collision.

For an elastic collision, we use the formula,

m₁V₁i+ m₂V₂i = m₁V1f + m₂V₂f

For a perfectly elastic collision, the final velocity of the 100g cart will each be 1/2 the velocity of the initial velocity of the moving cart.

Final velocity = 0.5/2

=0.25 m/s.

A 1500 kg car traveling at 80.0 km/h comes to a screeching halt in a time of 4.00 seconds. Calculate the force of friction exper
amm1812

Answer:

F=m x a

(F is force ,M is mass and A is acceleration)

in thisncase the Mass is given but we need to find ou the acceleration

Formula for acceleration-

a=(v - u)/t

(v is final velocity , u is initiatal velocity and t is time)

a = (0 - 80)/4

a= -80/4

a= -20

By substituting the values-

F= m x a

F= 1500 x -20

F=-30000N

Thus the force acted is -30000N

hope this helps

A car moves in a circular motion and it is subject to a centripetal acceleration of 24 m/s2. If the radius of the circular path
Softa [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

Centripetal acceleration is given by:

a_{c} = v^{2}/r

Thus, centripetal acceleration is inversely proportional to the radius. Thus, when radius will double, the centripetal acceleration will be halved.

According to Newton's first law of motion, what would happen to a car traveling at a constant velocity of 55 MPH to the west in
mart [117]

Explanation:

  • Newton's first law of motion says that an object will be at rest or it will be in motion until an unbalanced force acts on it.
  • In this case, a car traveling at a constant velocity of 55 mph to the west in the absence of an unbalanced force.
  • It would mean that the car will continue to move with a constant velocity of 55 mph to the west due to Newton's first law of motion.
