There are several similarities between these eating disorders, including being afraid of gaining weight and having a dissatisfied and distrustful view of the way their bodies look, though anorexia tends to be relatively slimmer than bulimia. It is common for people with Anorexia to eat very little or not eat at all. They will lose a great deal of weight due to malnutrition and will often become addicted to counting calories.Those who suffer from Bulimia might eat excessive amounts of food and then purge it, or consume excessive amounts of food to avoid gaining any weight.
