See, pls, the following:
<u>WAY №1</u> (based on properties of lines)
1) it is possible to find out an equation for line 'k' using its points (common equation for line is y=ax+b):
\left \{ {{-14=(-7)*a+b} \atop {26=1*a+b}} \right. \ =\ \textgreater \  \  \left \{{{b=21} \atop {a=5}} \right.
this means, for line 'k' y=5x+21
2) for line 'h' (the same operations):
\left \{ {{-25=-4*a+b} \atop {15=4*a+b}} \right. =\ \textgreater \  \  \left \{ {{a=5} \atop {b=-5}} \right.
equation for line 'h' is y=5x-5
The parameter 'a' for the both lines is the same, it means k║h.
<u>WAY №2.</u> (based on properties of vectors):
1) find points for vector 'k': (1--7;26--14) ⇒ (8;40).
2) to do the same for vector 'h': (4--4;15--25) ⇒ (8;40).
3) using the found points for the both vectors to compare them:
\frac{8}{8} =1 \ and \  \frac{40}{40}=1
1=1 it means the both lines are parallel.

The triangle and the trapezoid have the same area. Base b2 is twice the length of base b1. What are the lenghts of the bases of
Sati [7]

Answer:

<h2>The lengths of the bases of the trapezoid:</h2><h2>42/h cm and 84/h cm.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of an area of a triangle:

A=\dfrac{bh}{2}

<em>b</em><em> </em>- base

<em>h</em> - height

We have <em>b = 21cm, h = 6cm</em>.

Substitute:

A=\dfrac{(21)(6)}{2}=63\ cm^2

The formula of an area of a trapezoid:

A=\dfrac{b_1+b_2}{2}\cdot h

<em>b₁, b₂</em> - bases

<em>h</em><em> - </em>height

We have <em>b₁ = 2b₂</em>, therefore <em>b₁ + b₂ = 2b₂ + b₂ = 3b₂</em>.

The area of a triangle and the area of a trapezoid are the same.

Therefore

\dfrac{3b_2}{2}\cdot h=63         <em>multiply both sides by 2</em>

3b_2h=126          <em>divide both sides by 3</em>

b_2h=42         <em>divide both sides by h</em>

b_2=\dfrac{42}{h}

b_1=2b_2\to b_1=2\cdot\dfrac{42}{h}=\dfrac{84}{h}

Which of the following is equivalent to (5)^7/3
kifflom [539]
<em>The answer is \sqrt[3]{ 5^{7} }</em>

The reason we get this answer is because when you are converting from exponential form, to radical form you always place the numerator as our constant's exponent in the radical <em>( 5^{7} is called the radicand because it is located in the radical)</em> and the denominator in front of the radical, where it would be called the index.

<em>Here's what a formula would look like:</em> ( \sqrt[n]{x} ) ^{q}=x^{ \frac{p}{q} }

Thank you for your question! I hope this helped! Have an amazing day and feel free to let me know if I can help you further! :D
