  • Force=12N
  • Work=9J

\\ \sf\longmapsto W=Fd

\\ \sf\longmapsto d=\dfrac{W}{F}

\\ \sf\longmapsto d=\dfrac{9}{12}=0.72m

Answer:

Anne pushed a cart by 12 N.

● Force = 12 N

Work done is 9 J

● Work = 9 J

=> Work = Force × distance

=> distance =  \frac{work}{force}

=> distance =  \frac{9}{2}

=> distance = 0.72m

A dog of mass 4 kg runs up a hill of height 8 m. How much gravitational potential energy does the dog gain?
Genrish500 [490]
A. 314 because when you use the formula for the GPE ; GPE=MGH or means mass times gravity time height (4x8x9.8) and thats equivalent to 313.6 which rounds up to 314. Hope it helps

An athlete does one push-up period in the process, she moves half of her body weight, 250 N, a distance of 20 cm, this distance
ioda
In the push-up, the athlete's weight  (or force) of 250 N moves through a distance of 20 cm.

By definition,
Work = force * distance.

Therefore, work done in one push-up is
W=(250 \, N)*(20 \, cm)*(10^{-2} \,  \frac{cm}{m}) = 50 \, J

Note that 1 J = 1  N-m.
