We have that with v_1 =v this goes to show that  the velocity of the bigger block after the collision takes place is v

From the question we are told

Suppose the blocks collide elastically. picking the positive direction to the right, what is the velocity of the bigger block after the collision takes place?

Generally the equation for Momentum   is mathematically given as

P=mv

Therefore

m_1v_2=m_2v_2

Hence

v_1=\frac{m_2v_2}{m_1}

Therefore

v_1=\frac{mv_2}{2m}\\\\v_1=\frac{v_2}{2}

Hence

2v+v=v_1+v_2\\\\v_1=v

Now

with v_1 =v this goes to show that  the velocity of the bigger block after the collision takes place is v

Eventually, the process approaches a steady state. In that steady state, the charge of the capacitor is not changing. What is th
devlian [24]

Answer:

The current in the circuit must be zero.

Explanation:

In a RC circuit, the steady state is reached when either the capacitor is fully charged or fully discharged. In either case, there must not be any current through the circuit because if it exists, it will deliver charge to the capacitor and thus change its charge, which is not a steady state.

Which kind of force do you exert on an object when you pull it toward you?
jarptica [38.1K]

By definition we have to:

Applied force: It is the external force that acts directly on a body.

Therefore, we can say that if you have an object and push it towards yourself, you are exerting an external force on the object.

This external force was not acting on the object previously, therefore, it is a force that you are applying at that moment.

Answer:

you exert an Applied Force on an object when you pull it towards you

A. Applied Force
