In the case of this graph, we see the parabola starts at x = -3, and continues on forever.

Domain: [-3, infinity)

Range: the smallest possible y-value to the largest possible y-value

In the case of this graph, the parabola will continue to expand forever.

Range: (-infinity, infinity)

Therefore, while the domain has a restriction, the range does not and is all real numbers.
