• y varies directly as x, and y=14 when x=4.

To Find :-

• the value of y when x=9 .

Solution :-

According to Question ,

• y = kx ( k is constant )

When y = 14 and x = 4 ,

• 14 = k(4)
• k = 14/4
• k = 7/2

When x = 9 ,

• y = 7/2*9
• y = 63/2
• y = 31.5
