T.he structure of the earth is construed of a crust, the mantle, outer core, and the inner core. The shape of the earth is an oblate spheroid, because it is slightly flattened at the poles and bulging at the equator. Each layer has it's own chemical composition, and can impact Earth's surface.
Hydrocarbons are a type of organic compound. Hydrocarbons contains a carbon, hydrogen and oxygen bond that makes it
organic. Chlorides, carbonates and nitrous oxides are not organic compounds but
they are inorganic compounds.
The interstellar medium (ISM) is the matter and radiation that exists in the space between the star systems in a galaxy. This matter includes gas in ionic, atomic, and molecular form, as well as dust and cosmic rays.
