Answer:

A = 300-x^2 for area

A = 20L * 15 -x^2 for area

20L - x^2 = 300 - x^2 /15 -x^2 could also work to find length .

SIMPLIFIED

L - x = 300/20 - ( x^2 )/ 15 - x

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = L = 20 inches.

Area of one side = A = 15 X 20 = 300 cm^2

= 300 - x^2

This means the missing corner square is also squared

Simplifies to sqrt 300 - x

but as length was asked 20L * 15 -x^2

we know one side may be 15x 15

and if one side is 15 x 20

then instead of 15 x 15 it may be 15 x 20

eitherway we are looking at one side representing area of one side of the box. 300-x is our answer.

If you are standing at Earth’s North Pole, which of the following will be directly overhead?
Sidana [21]

The north celestial pole (and also the south) are described as two imaginary points that project on the axis of rotation of the earth, indefinitely towards space and that intersects with the celestial sphere (Remember that the earth has a slight inclination with respect to to its axis of rotation). The north and south celestial poles are directly above the head of someone located at the north or south pole of the earth.

Correct Answer is A.

As the particles in a soup reach the boiling point what do you expect to happen
Marysya12 [62]
As the particles in a soup reach the boiling point, the kinetic energy of the molecules will start increasing and ultimately bubbles will be created in the soup and it will slowly start to vaporize. Boiling point of a liquid is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the liquid will become equal to the atmospheric pressure.
