The answer should be A.

Why?
“Different type of atoms” which refers to different element present in the compound. Only Barium, Oxygen, and Hydrogen found in that compound, thus there are 3 types of atom founded it hydrated barium hydroxide.

I hope this enlighten. Apologize for any English or Chemistry concepts.

timama [110]
Answer is: D. Tin atoms give electrons to lead(II) ions and are oxidized to tin(II) ions.
Chemical reaction: Sn⁰ + Pb²⁺ → Sn²⁺ + Pb.
Tin atom (oxidation number 0) give two electrons to led ions, oxidation number of tin is greater now (oxidation number +2).

Determine the percent composition by mass of oxygen in the compound C6H1206
inysia [295]

Answer

% of oxygen(O) in glucose = 96/ 180 × 100 = 53.33

Explanation:

so the mass of oxygen in 1 mole of glucose = 6 × 16.00 g = 96.00 g. % oxygen = 96.00 × 100 % = 53.3 % by mass.

The free energy for the oxidation of glucose to CO2 and water is -686 kcal/mol, and the free energy for the reduction of NAD+ to
vitfil [10]

Answer:

Most of free energy available from oxidation of the glucose remains in pyruvate.

Explanation:

The overall reaction of the process glycolysis is:

Glucose + 2 NAD⁺ + 2 ADP + 2 Pi ⇒ 2 Pyruvate + 2 NADH + 2 H⁺ + 2ATP

Glucose is oxidized to give 2 molecules of pyruvate and 2 molecules of NADH and ATP (Energy currency).

Though the free energy of oxidation of glucose is high but only 2 NADH is formed because the most of the free energy that is being released from the oxidation of glucose remains in the pyruvate which is produced in the reaction and thus only 2 molecules are formed.
