The number of mole of the gas present in the sample which occupies a volume of 350 mL at 25 °C and 1 atm is 0.0143 mole

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Volume (V) = 350 mL = 350 / 1000 = 0.35 L

Temperature (T) = 25 °C = 25 + 273 = 298 K

Pressure (P) = 1 atm

Gas constant (R) = 0.0821 atm.L/Kmol

Number of mole (n) =?

With the application of the ideal gas equation, the number of mole of the gas present in the sample can be obtained as follow:

PV = nRT

1 × 0.35 = n × 0.0821 × 298

0.35 = n × 24.4658

Divide both side by 24.4658

n = 0.35 / 24.4658

n = 0.0143 mole

Therefore, the number of mole of the gas present in the sample is 0.0143 mole

Explain how the periodic table is arranged and why it is a helpful tool in our study of chemistry. Write in complete sentences a
frosja888 [35]
The periodic table is grouped by the properties of each element. They are also arranged in the order of their atomic mass. Different rows of elements are called periods. If elements lie in the same column, they are in the same group. It is helpful to us today because it helps us gain new information on the properties and the world around us. We would not have a true understanding of Chemistry if it were not for the period table.

Atomic structure ?
proton, neutron,electron?
atom vs ion ?
mass number ?
Sever21 [200]

Answer:

atomic structure - The nucleus is at the center of an atom, where most of the charge and mass are concentrated

protons - a stable subatomic particle occurring in all atomic nuclei, with a positive electric charge equal in magnitude to that of an electron, but of opposite sign.

neutrons - a subatomic particle of about the same mass as a proton but without an electric charge, present in all atomic nuclei except those of ordinary hydrogen.

electrons - a stable subatomic particle with a charge of negative electricity, found in all atoms and acting as the primary carrier of electricity in solids.

atom vs. ion - an atom is the basic unit of a chemical element, and an ion is an atom or molecule with a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons. See also cation, anion.

Mass number - total number of protons, and neutrons in an atom.

Give the volume indicated. Be sure to include all significant figures.
miskamm [114]

Answer: -

71

Explanation: -

From the diagram, we see that volume goes from 70 to 75 in 5 markings.

Each marking is for 1.

It is the most accuracy possible as there is no smaller marking.

Significant figures expresses the required amount of accuracy.

Thus the volume indicated from the diagram is 71 .
