<h2>Answer: 544.818 km</h2>

The velocity V of the space shuttle orbiting around the Earth can be determined by the following equation:

V=\sqrt{\frac{GM_{E}}{a}}   (1)

Where:

V=7589.288\frac{m}{s} is the Velocity of the space shuttle

G=6.67(10)^{-11}\frac{Nm^{2}}{kg^{2}} is the Gravitational constant

M_{E}=5.972(10)^{24}kg is the Mass of the Earth

a is the distance from <u>the center of the Earth</u> to the space shuttle

Now, firstly we need to find a fromo equation (1):

a=\frac{GM_{E}}{V^{2}}    (2)

Substituting the known values:

a=\frac{(6.67(10)^{-11}\frac{Nm^{2}}{kg^{2}})(5.972(10)^{24}kg)}{(7589.288\frac{m}{s})^{2}}   (3)

a=6915818.153m=6915.818km   (4)>>>This is the distance from <u>the center  of the Earth to the space shuttle</u>

But, we are asked to find the distance from the surface of the Earth.

If we want to find it, we have to use the following equation:

a-r_{E}=r   (5)

Where:

r_{E}\approx 6371km is the radius of the Earth

r is the distance from the<u> surface of the Earth</u> to the space shuttle

So, we are going to substract the radius of the Earth to the total distance from the earth's center to find this value:

6915.818km-6371km=544.818km   (6)

Finally, the distance is:

544.818km

11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Answer:

1.) The current is doubled

2.) moving a magnet up and down near the wire

3.) An electric current in the wire produces a magnetic field.

4.) Distance between Particles (m)

Explanation:

1.) When 6 V battery is connected to a 24 ohm resistor to create a circuit, using ohms law, V = IR

Current I = 6/24 = 0.25 A

When the The 6 V battery is replaced with a 12 V battery,

Current I = 12/24 = 0.5 A

Therefore, The current is doubled

2.) Electric current will be induced when moving a magnet up and down near the wire

3.) An electric current in the wire produces a magnetic field.

4.) Distance between Particles (m)

The force of attraction between two different masses is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

A 56.0 kg bungee jumper jumps off a bridge and undergoes simple harmonic motion. If the period of oscillation is 11.2 s, what is
andre [41]

Answer:

2.80N/m

Explanation:

Given data

mass m= 56kg

perios T= 11.2s

The expression for the period is given as

T=2π√m/k

Substitute

11.2= 2*3.142*√56/k

square both sides

11.2^2= 2*3.142*56/k

125.44= 351.904/k

k=351.904/125.44

k= 2.80N/m

Hence the spring constant is 2.80N/m

Jill does twice as much work as Jack does and in half the time. Jill's power output is Group of answer choices one-fourth as muc
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

Second Choice.

Explanation:

Jack's Power = W/t

Jill's Power = 2W/(0.5)*t

2/0.5 = 4

Jill's Power = 4*W/t

Jill's Power is 4 times greater than Jack's

A 6 kg weight is lifted off the ground to a height that gives it 70.56 j of gravitational potential energy. what is its height?
Marina CMI [18]
GPE= 70.56 J -------------------> GPE= mgh-------------> X= height
70.56 = 6(kg) * 9.8(m/s/s) * X
70.56 = 58.8X
70.56/58.8= 58.8X/58.8
X= 1.2
The height is 1.2 feet or meters (whatever unit you are using in this problem)
