A food scientist is determined to create a mango that looks exactly like a mango but tastes like salmon. Can this be achieved th

No because an artificially ripened mango will have a mixture of light and dark yellow colour on it. This indicates that the mango is not completely ripened. The artificially ripened mangoes will seem ripened on the outside but not on the inside.

For an electron that interacts with visible light, which visible photon would give the most accurate (lowest error) measurement
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

violet

Explanation:

When an electron interacts with visible light, energy is transferred from the photon to the electron.

The most accurate (lowest error) measurement of momentum (or speed) of an electron is obtained using a photon of high energy and low wavelength.

Violet light which lies at the high energy end of spectrum is most suitable.

Determine the oxidation number for nitrogenin
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

1(a) N = 3

(b) N = 0

(c) N = 5

(d) N = -2

(2) Molecular formula for benzene is C6H6

Explanation:

1(a) N02 1-

N + (2×-2) = -1

N-4 = -1

N = -1+4 = 3

(b) N2

2(N) = 0

N = 0/2 = 0

(c) NO2Cl

N + ( 2×-2) + (-1) = 0

N - 4 - 1 = 0

N - 5 = 0

N = 0+5 = 5

(d) N2H4

2(N) + (4×1) = 0

2N + 4 = 0

2N = 0 - 4 = -4

N = -4/2 = -2

(2) Molcular mass of benzene = 78g/mole = (6×12g of carbon) + (6×1g of hydrogen) = 72+6 = 78g/mole

Therefore, molecular formula for benzene is C6H6

Match each species on the left to a description on the right.
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

I₂ + 2 e = 2I⁻

I₂ converts itself into I⁻ by accepting electron . In this process it increases the oxidation number of element from which it takes electron . Hence it is an oxidizing agent .

Similarly O₂ is also an oxidizing agent .

O₂ + 4e = 2O⁻²

Al is a reducing agent .

Al = Al⁺³ + 3 e

Al gives 3 electrons to other element whose oxidation number is reduced . Hence it is reducing agent .

Similarly Cr is also a reducing agent .

Cr = Cr⁺³ + 3 e .
