My final answer for this question is that it would be false. In this case you want to play it safe and report the incident just in case.

It's standing for what you believe in and being confident in it even if someone goes against it. Assertive communication can boost self-esteem also because it helps the person be confident in what they think and in that confidence, be able to express themselves better. Being assertive can also get you respect from others because they see that you are confident when you are talking to them and that you also respect what they think instead of thinking that you are self-righteous
