Ans: 0.709 moles glycerin

The given reaction is:

14KMnO4 + 4C3H5(OH)3 → 7K2CO3 + 7Mn2O3 + 5CO2 + 16H2O

a) Based on the reaction stoichiometry:

5 moles of CO2 requires 14 moles of KMnO4

Therefore, 0.886 moles of CO2 would correspond to:

= 0.886 moles CO2 * 14 moles KMnO4/5 moles CO2

= 2.48 moles

b) Again from the reaction stoichiometry:

5 moles of CO2 requires 4 moles of glycerin

therefore, 0.886 moles of CO2 would consume:

= 0.886 moles CO2 * 4 moles glycerin/5 moles CO2

= 0.709 moles

g If you have three identical containers (same volume) at the same temperature and pressure, each with a different gas. Containe
vekshin1

Answer:

The three gases, in the three identical containers, will all have the same number of molecules

Explanation:

If these three gases (Helium He, Neon Ne, and Oxygen O_{2}) are all contained in separate identical containers with the same volume. And they are all stored at the same temperature, and pressure. Then, they'll all contain the same number of molecules. This is in line with Avogadro's law which states that "Equal volume of all gases, at the same temperature and pressure, have the same number of molecules."

What's the purpose of mitosis and meiosis?
krok68 [10]
The purport of mitosis is cell regeneration, magnification, and asexual reproduction, while the purport of meiosis is the engenderment of gametes for sexual reproduction. Mitosis is a single nuclear division that results in two nuclei that are conventionally partitioned into two incipient daughter cells.

how many grams of molecular oxygen (O2) is produced from 13.8 grams of calcium chlorate (Ca(ClO3)2)in the following chemical rea
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

6.72 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of calcium chlorate = 13.8 g

Mass of oxygen produced = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

Ca(ClO₃)₂ → CaCl₂ + 3O₂

Number of moles of calcium chlorate:

Number of moles = mass / molar mass

Number of moles = 13.8 g/ 206.98 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.07 mol

Now we will compare the moles of oxygen and calcium chlorate.

                 Ca(ClO₃)₂ : O₂

                      1 : 3

                    0.07 : 3×0.07=0.21 mol

Mass of oxygen:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.21 mol × 32 g/mol

Mass = 6.72 g
