Information provided:
Length of wire, L = 320 m
Current through the wire, I = 120 Amps
Earth's magnetic field acting on the wire, B = 5.0*10^-5 T
Angle at which the magnetic field acts, Ф = 60°

By definition;
Force on the wire, F = LBI Sin Ф

Substituting;
F = 320*5*10^-5*120*Sin 60 = 1.663 N

A circular loop of wire with 10 turns, radius 0.241 m and resistance 0.235 Ohms is connected to a 13.1 V power supply. The magne
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Given Information:

Resistance of circular loop = R = 0.235 Ω

Radius of circular loop = r = 0.241 m

Number of turns = n = 10

Voltage = V = 13.1 V

Required Information:

Magnetic field = B = ?

Answer:

Magnetic field = 0.00145 T

Explanation:

In a circular loop of wire with n number of turns and radius r and carrying a current I induces a magnetic field B

B = μ₀nI/2r

Where μ₀= 4πx10⁻⁷ is the permeability of free space and current in the loop is given by

I = V/R

I = 13.1/0.235

I = 55.74 A

B = 4πx10⁻⁷*10*55.74/2*0.241

B = 0.00145 T

Therefore, the magnetic field at the center of this circular loop is 0.00145 T

A bungee jumper starts with 1000 J in their GPE store. After they jump they fall and are brought to a stop with the bungee cord.
pochemuha

Answer:

energy is equal to 1000 J

Explanation:

When the jumper is in the tent, he has a given height, this height gives him a gravitational potential energy, which forms his initial mechanical energy of 1000 J. After jumping, this energy is converted into elastic energy of the rope plus a remainder of potential energy gravitational, it does not reach the ground, but as the friction is negligible the total mechanical energy is conserved, therefore its energy is equal to 1000 J

This is a case of energy transformation, but the total value of mechanical energy does not change

A man on the moon throws a ball vertically upwards and it is noticed that the ball travels 3.0m less in the fifth second of its
sdas [7]

Acceleration due to gravity in moon is 1.5 m/s²

Explanation:

We have equation of motion s = ut + 0.5 at²

Here the ball travels 3 m less distance in fifth second compared to third second.

That is

           s₃ = s₅ + 3

Now we have

Distance traveled in third second, s₃ = u x 3 - 0.5 x g x 3² -  u x 2 - 0.5 x g x 2²

           s₃ = u - 2.5 g

Also

Distance traveled in fifth second, s₅ = u x 5 - 0.5 x g x 5² -  u x 4 - 0.5 x g x 4²

           s₅ = u - 4.5 g

That is

           u - 2.5 g = u - 4.5 g + 3

             2 g = 3

                g = 1.5 m/s²

Acceleration due to gravity in moon = 1.5 m/s²
