Answer:

5000kg/m³

Explanation:

density=mass/volume

d=m/v

d=100/20

=5g/cm³

g/cm³*1000=kg/m³

5g/m³*1000=5000kg/m³

How many moles are in 17.2g k2s
Natalija [7]

Answer: 0.156 mol

Explanation:

To find the moles of 17.2 g K₂S, we need to know the molar mass to convert.

17.2g*\frac{mol}{110.256 g} =0.156 mol

Neutrons add only ____ to an atom.
Natali [406]
Neutrons are neutral particles, so they don't change the charge of an atom. They do however, change the atomic mass, so the answer would be a. mass.

What is the molality of a solution made by dissolving 15.20 g of i2 in 1.33 mol of diethyl ether, (ch3ch2)2o?
Paraphin [41]
The  molarity   of solution  made  by  dissolving  15.20g  of i2  in 1.33 mol  of diethyl ether (CH3CH2)2O  is    =0.6M

   calculation

molarity  =moles of solute/  Kg of the  solvent

mole  of the solute  (i2)  =  mass /molar mass
the molar mass of i2 = 126.9 x2 = 253.8 g/mol

moles is therefore=  15.2 g/253.8 g/mol  =  0.06  moles

calculate the Kg of solvent  (CH3CH2)2O
mass =  moles  x  molar mass
molar mass  of  (CH3CH2)2O= 74 g/mol

mass  is therefore = 1.33 moles  x  74 g/mol =  98.42 grams
in Kg = 98.42 /1000 =0.09842  Kg

molarity  is therefore = 0.06/0.09842 = 0.6 M

PH3, explain why there is a partial positive on hydrogen and partial negative on phosphorus.
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

Phosphorus is more electronegative than hydrogen

Explanation:

Electronegativity is a measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding pair of electrons towards itself thereby making a molecule to be polar. The Pauling scale is the most commonly used to measure electronegativity. Fluorine (the most electronegative element) is assigned a value of 4.0 on the Pauling's scale, and values range down to caesium and francium which are the least electronegative elements.

Electronegativity increases from left to right across the periodic table (across the period) hence, phosphorus is far more electronegative than hydrogen. Being more electronegative than hydrogen, phosphorus attracts the bonding electron pair of the P-H bond closer to itself than hydrogen. Since the electrons of the bond are closer to phosphorus than hydrogen, the phosphorus atom acquires a partial negative charge while the hydrogen atom acquires a partial positive charge.
