What is the ph of a 0.10 m solution of ethylamine at 25 oc? the pkb of ethylamine at 25 ºc is 3.25. ethylamine is a weak base?
denis-greek [22]
To determine the pH of a weak base, we use the equation:

pH = 14 + 0.5 log Kb

Therefore,

pH = 14 + 0.5 log 3.25
pH = 14.26

A weak base is a base which does not fully dissociates into ions when in solution. The solution would contain cations, anions and the compound itself. Hope this helps.

Which set of compounds illustrates the law of multiple proportions? so2, so3 h2o, h2o2 n2o, no, no2 all of these?
Leto [7]
All of these. All the gases that are mentioned in each set identify with the law of multiple proportions since the all the compounds have oxygen ions in them. Law of multiple proportions is defined as formation of compound with oxide ions after the reaction of an element with oxygen.

If the amount of gas and volume are constant and you double the temperature of the gas, pressure halves
Lapatulllka [165]

Explanation:

if we fix the temperature, we are just left with PV = constant for the gas law. So, in this situation, if the volume is doubled, the pressure must go down by one-half. And vice-versa. The simplest illustration of this would be a cylinder with a plunger on one end: if you push the plunger in so that the volume of the cylinder is halved and the temperature remains constant, then the pressure will double.
