The fruit which has the greater mass is peach i.e. 150 grams.

<h3>What is mass?</h3>

Mass is a quantity which is used to define that what amount of substance will occupy any space or present in the given object.

We have given,

Weight of apples = 85,000 mg

Weight of peach = 0.15 kg

To compare the quantity first we have to convert both of these units in the same unit, and we know that:

In 1 kilogram = 1000 grams

And in 1 grams = 1000 milligrams

So, we convert both the units into grams as:

85,000 mg =  85,000 / 1000 = 85 grams

0.15 kg = 150 grams

So, the mass of peach is high.

Hence, peach has the greater mass.

What would happen if you added more than 5ml of H2O2 to the 5ml of yeast
anzhelika [568]

Hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen.

2H₂O₂ → 2H₂O + O₂

The yeast present contains an enzyme called catalase which catalyses the reaction.

More the amount of the catalyst added, faster will be the decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide.

Thus if we added more than 5 mL of yeast solution to the 2H₂O₂, the breakdown would occur faster. Thus the bubbles and the accompanying fizz would be much more.

1. A gas has a volume of 45 L at a pressure of 140 kPa. What is the volume when
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

The new volume of the gas is 21 L.

Explanation:

Volume of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure at constant temperature such that,

V\propto \dfrac{1}{P}

or

P_1V_1=P_2V_2

We have,

V_1=45\ L\\\\P_1=140\ kPa \\\\P_2=300\ kPa

It is required to find V₂. Using above law or Boyle's law such that :

V_2=\dfrac{P_1V_1}{P_2}\\\\V_2=\dfrac{140\times 45}{300}\\\\V_2=21\ L

So, the new volume of the gas is 21 L.

The volume of a sample of gas is 0.5 L and the pressure is 0.98 atm. The volume is increased to 1.0 L. Show the set
meriva

Given,

P1 = 0.98 atm

V1 = 0.5 L

V2 = 1.0 L

P2 = ?

Solution,

According to Boyle's Law,

P1V1 = P2V2

0.98 × 0.5 = 1.0 × P2

P2 = 0.98 × 0.5 × 1.0

P2 = 0.49 atm

Answer - The new pressure is 0.49 atm.

How many molecules are in 6.0g of sodium phosphate?
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

2.2 x 10²² molecules.

Explanation:

  • Firstly, we need to calculate the no. of moles in (6.0 g) sodium phosphate:

<em>no. of moles = mass/molar mass </em>= (6.0 g)/(163.94 g/mol) = <em>0.0366 mol.</em>

  • <em>It is known that every mole of a molecule contains Avogadro's number (6.022 x 10²³) of molecules.</em>

<em />

<u><em>using cross multiplication:</em></u>

1.0 mole of sodium phosphate contains → 6.022 x 10²³ molecules.

0.0366 mole of sodium phosphate contains → ??? molecules.

<em>∴ The no. of molecules in  6.0 g of sodium phosphate</em> = (6.022 x 10²³ molecules)(0.0366 mole)/(1.0 mole) = <em>2.2 x 10²² molecules.</em>
