0.22 m/s is the speed when the displacement is 1.75 cm.

Given:

A simple harmonic oscillator has;

Amplitude (A) =3.50 cm = 0.035 m

Maximum Speed (Vmax) = 26.0 cm/s = 0.26 m/s

Displacment (d) = 1.75cm =0.0175 m

The displacement d, whose maximum is the amplitude A , is expressed as:

∴ d = A Sin wt

   \frac{d}{A} = Sin wt

   t = \frac{1}{W} Sin⁻¹ ( \frac{d}{A} )

  v = - Aw cos wt

  v = - Aw cos w [ \frac{1}{W}sin⁻¹ (\frac{d}{A}) ]

  v = - Aw cos [ sin⁻¹ (\frac{d}{A}) ]

Speed, v = Vmax cos [ sin⁻¹ (\frac{d}{A}) ]             ∵ Vmax = Aw

            v = 0.26 cos [ sin⁻¹ ( \frac{0.0175}{0.035}) ]

            v = 0.22 m/s

Therefore, 0.22 m/s is the speed when the displacement is 1.75 cm.

What is the relationship between the applied force of a hanging mass on a spring and the spring force of the spring?
zaharov [31]

Answer:

elastic force and weight are related to the acceleration of the System.

Explanation:

The relationship between these two forces can be found with Newton's second law.

        F_{e} - W = m a

        K x - m g = m a

We see that elastic force and weight are related to the acceleration of the System.

If a harmonic movement is desired, an extra force that increases the elastic force is applied, but to begin the movement this force is eliminated, in general , if the relationship between this external and elastic force is desired, the only requirement is that it be small for harmonic movement to occur

The diagram below shows the velocity vectors for two cars that are moving relative to each other.
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

The answer is "5 \ \frac{m}{s} \ west"

Explanation:

\to \vec{V_1} = (25 \frac{m}{s}) (\hat{-i})\\\\\to  \vec{V_2} = (20 \frac{m}{s}) (\hat{-i})\\\\

velocity of car | respect to car :

\to \vec{V_{12}} = \vec{V_1} - \vec{V_2}\\\\

          =\vec{-25} \hat{i}+ \vec{20} \hat{i}\\\\= 5 \ \frac{m}{s} \ west
