0.02020 ohm is the resistance of a carbon rod at 25.8 ∘C if its resistance is 0.0200 Ω at 0.0 ∘C.

<h3 /><h3>What is a resistor?</h3>

A resistor is an electrical component that controls or restricts how much electrical current can pass across a circuit in an electronic device. A specified voltage can be supplied via resistors to an active device like a transistor.

The temperature of the resistor varies based on the variation in the temperature. The equation that describes the relationship between the two of them is:

R = R0[1+ alpha(T-T0)]  where:

R is the new resistance we are looking for

alpha is the temperature coefficient of resistance. For carbon rod, alpha = ₋ 4.8 x 10^{-4}(1/°c)

T0 is the standard temperature =25.8°C

R0 is the resistance at T0 = 0.0200 ohms

T is the temperature at which we want to get R = 0

Substitute in the equation to get R as follows:

R = 0.0200 [1+( ₋ 4.8 x 10^{-4}) (0-25.8)] = 0.02020 ohm

While passing through a human cell, an x-ray photon interacts with and inactivates the cell’s master molecule. What is the conse
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

Cell Death

Explanation:

Cell death is defined as the biological process which ceases the function of the cell to carry out. This can be caused due to the formation of new cells in place of old cells.

Or it can be cause due to some serious disease or may be caused due to the injury or due to the death of that organism to which these cells belong.

And another case is that when X-ray photon interact with the human cell while it passes through the cell, it   will damage the cell and cease it to function well and a more drastic condition occurs and that cell become dead.

Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere by a two-step reaction:
Sladkaya [172]
Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere where the reactions involving bromine, chlorine, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen gases form compounds that destroy the ozone layer. The reactions uses a catalyst (speeds up the reaction) in a two step reaction. considering chlorine the reactions appears as follows;
step 1
 Cl + O3 = ClO + O2
 step 2
ClO + O = Cl + O2
Where by chlorine is released to destroy the ozone layer, this takes place many times even with the other elements (hydrogen, bromine, nitrogen) and the end result is a completely destroyed Ozone layer

What occurs when the pitch increases and the sound source is in motion? explain your answer.
Hoochie [10]
If you're listening to a sound that has a steady pitch, and suddenly the
pitch goes up, then you know that two things could have happened:

EITHER ...

-- The person or other source making the sound could have
raised the pitch of the sound being produced.

OR ...

-- The person or other source making the sound could have
started moving toward you.

OR ...

-- both.

Even if the pitch of the sound leaving the source doesn't change,
you would still hear it increase if the source starts moving toward
you.  That's the so-called "Doppler effect".

To understand the nature of electric fields and how to draw field lines. Electric field lines are a tool used to visualize elect
Brrunno [24]

Explanation:

The electric field is defined as the change in the properties of space caused by the existence of a positively (+) or negatively (-) charged particle. The electric field can be represented by infinitely many lines from a particle, and those lines never intersect each other. Depending on the type of charge we can see different cases:

  • Let's say we have a <u>positive charge alone (</u>image 1)<u>.</u> The field lines are drawn from the centre of the particle outwards to infinity (in other words, they disappear from the edge of the picture). Meaning the direction of the electric field points outwards the particle.
  • For a <u>negative charge alone </u>(image 2)<u>,</u> the lines come from infinity to the centre, and point towards the particle (i.e. lines appear from the edge of the picture).

Let's see what happens if we have two charges together:

  • <u>Two positive charges</u> (image 3): Since the charges are of the same type (positive), the particles repel each other. Then the field lines will avoid each other so they do not join. The charge is positive, so lines point outwards.
  • <u>Two negative charges</u> (image 4): Again, the charges are both negative, so they repel. But they are negative, so the field points inwards.
  • <u>Negative and positive charges</u> (image 5): They are different charges, so the force between them is attractive. This causes the field lines from both to join. They go out of the positive and come into the negative particle.

Image 6:

The lines are passing through infinite points of the space. If we choose a certain point and measure the electric field, we can see to which direction the electric field points. This is the direction of the electric field vector. It does not matter which point we choose; the electric field vector touches the field line only at this point, which means it is tangent to the field line.
